Small Dog, Big Behaviors: A Sit Means Sit Transformation

We all know at least one – the smallest dog that gets away with being the worst because, gosh darn it, he’s just so cute! Many small dogs tend to get away with behaviors that, with larger breeds, would be corrected with immediacy. Over time these behaviors can manifest into an unruly dog and a frustrated owner.  Our customized approach to training dogs of all sizes and temperaments allows us to fine tune our training system to suit even the smallest dogs.

Take Wolfgang for instance – here is a video of his arrival at our facility at the beginning of his boarding and training Jumpstart Program. This little floof and his bad attitude caused some real issues at home, and it was impossible to take him anywhere. His Mom’s training challenges including jumping, growling, nipping, and overall energy management, totally realistic goals for any size or breed of dog.

Here is Wolfgang AFTER training. No more becoming wound up in his leash! No more invading other dogs’ space without permission! He’s still clearly still his sweet, wiggly self, but with manners that match his handsome package, and we loved having his entire family involved in training, which is so critical in making strides toward any dog’s training goals.
