Puppy Training Classes For Improved Management
If you want your dog’s behavior started off on the right paw, join us for Puppy Training classes! The puppy preschool program is free with your training package and includes an hour-long drop-off training session. Plus, one of our dog trainers will work closely to train your new puppy so they learn correct behavior the first time. Then you deal with fewer behavioral issues later on!
You also work with a dog trainer who will help you manage potty training and other pesky puppy problems. We believe in the importance of positive training methods for puppies, like treats, toys, play, and leashes for your new family member, so let’s get started!
Obedience training
Our mission at Sit Means Sit is for dogs to be able to obey off-leash around any distractions in the real world! We want you to be able to take your pup to your favorite brewery and trust that you will have the best-trained dog there!
Included in the Training in our Obedience Training Program are:

Pet Parent Private Training Session
Pet Parent Private Training sessions are for clients who want to be involved in the whole training journey. One of our professional dog trainers will privately work with you to give you the tools and training techniques based on your dog’s training needs and goals. Ultimately your dog will be obedient despite any distraction!
Private Training is flexible and works around your schedule. We can meet at your house or any local pet-friendly location! We teach the skills from our dog Obedience Training program and show pet parents how to successfully reinforce their dog’s new good manners at home. When you have successfully completed Private Training, you will be welcome to join our Group Training Program!
Board and Train
For the most immersive training program, your dog will board at our training facility under the excellent care of our staff! Perfect for dogs with severe behavior challenges or families with travel plans, your dog will spend the day training with our expert dog trainers. Notice how your dog’s behavior noticeably improved at pick-up after they spent time perfecting our obedience training program skills.
Included in the Board and Train program, you get a private lesson so that you know what skills your dog has learned and how to keep encouraging these good behaviors at home. When you have successfully completed Board and Train, you will be welcome to join our Group Training Program!
Group Classes Training
If your ultimate goal is for your dog to become a “Good Citizen,” then Group Classes are essential to perfecting their obedience skills!
Group Classes are exclusive to your current clients. Once your dog has successfully completed their private training package, they may join us for a full year of unlimited Group Training.

Cindy has been working with dogs for over 20 years and is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals with your dog. Cindy has achieved AKC Champion Titles on 9 dogs and qualified for the AKC National Eukanuba Invitational two years in a row. She enjoys many dog sports including DockDogs, AKC Conformation and most recently Mondioring. She has achieved multiple level 3 titles in Mondioring and won 4 place cat.1 at the 2023 FMBB World Championship in Romania.
Clay joined Cindy in training at Sit Means Sit in 2009. Having watched Cindy perform miracle after miracle transforming the lives of people and their dogs, it was an easy decision. Clay especially enjoys working with the troubled dogs.
There is no greater feeling than changing lives for the better. The satisfaction that comes from seeing an aggressive or fearful dog becoming an upstanding confident member of society is difficult to describe.
His own dog, Watson, is a rescue that had behavioral problems – you’d never know it now! Clay loves living, training and working with his dogs, Watson and Scooby – they’re great partners in the training other people’s dogs.
Micah has been working with dogs since he was a child. His love of training lead him to join Sit Means Sit in 2008. He enjoys living the Colorado lifestyle with his wife, two daughters, and his two dogs, Riley and Tucker.
Mike grew up in Wray, Colorado and has worked with Sit Means Sit for over 2 years. He has a 2 year old Belgian Malinois named Ragnar as well as a 12 year old Rottweiler named “Leo”. Mike not only has experience with the Sit Means Sit system training both basic and advanced obedience, but he likes to train protection work in his personal time with Ragnar.
Skylar grew up knowing she would work with animals. She graduated from UCCS in 2020 with a bachelors in Biology. Her love for animals and their behavior grew when she started raising her Australian Shepherd, Gaia, shortly after joining Sit Means Sit. Skylar is a AKC CGC evaluator and heads up the Paws to Serve therapy canine training at Sit Means Sit.
Julia was born and raised in the area, and attended Pikes Peak State College where she achieved a Zoology degree. She has worked with all different kinds of animals but truly finds her passion training dogs and helping owners live better lives because of it. She has a Black Mouth Cur mix named Lincoln as well as her 2 cats.
Loren is from San Diego, California, but grew up in Arizona and Texas. He spent 27 years in the military, serving in both the Marine Corps and the Army. Most of his time in service was as a Green Beret in the Army Special Forces. He has always had dogs and has discovered his love for canine training.
When he wasn’t deployed, his specialties were weapons and mountaineering, and he worked as a firefighter on the side. Nowadays, in his time off, he enjoys playing with his dogs, playing guitar, traditional archery, and riding his motorcycle.
