Testimonials

I recently had the pleasure of working with Emily, a highly skilled dog trainer at Sit Means Sit. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with her expertise and dedication to helping dogs and their owners.

We initially sought training for our 10-week-old puppy after noticing some reactivity to unfamiliar dogs and for help with kennel training. From the moment I reached out to Sit Means Sit, Emily made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Her professionalism and passion for her work were evident from our very first interaction. She took the time to understand my dog’s specific needs and tailored a training program that addressed both her behavioral challenges and obedience training.

Sit Means Sit is fortunate to have Emily as part of their team. Her passion, knowledge, and ability to connect with dogs and their people make her an outstanding dog trainer. I wholeheartedly recommend Emily and Sit Means Sit to anyone seeking professional and effective dog training.

Ryan and Emily have been amazing to work with! Not only are they well knowledgeable dog trainers but they are great listeners, willing to help out with the unique needs of your dog. My cocker spaniel puppy was having a lot of issues with biting/nipping, getting on furniture, begging, not listening, destructive behaviors like chewing carpet, etc. The normal “wild puppy” they warn you about. It was a great initial experience with a free intro session where Ryan actually came to our house to meet Juniper to get to know her and understand what we were looking for. We had a few private sessions, group classes, and we boarded her a few times in between. Juniper loves Ryan and Emily and is always so excited to see them! What we have learned has helped so much with Juniper’s listening skills and confidence. We are able to communicate and understand each other on a level I don’t think we’d be at if I wouldn’t have took her to Sit Means Sit. She has become an all around better dog. Of course we still have work to do but that’s on me to consistently implement what we have learned. Highly suggest working with Ryan and Emily for any dog training needs. They truly care!

Sit Means Sit has done absolutely wonders for my german shepherd Delta. They build group lessons around the dogs who sign up for that lesson so you actually get to work towards your goals with your dog, instead of the standard basic training lessons. The environment is fun, accepting, and nice to be in. The trainers I’ve talked too actually take the time to listen to the owners and take in all factors instead of dismissing what the owners say. Both Emily and Ryan do a great job explaining things and answering ALL of my questions even when they may be silly, they never made me feel stupid for asking questions and explaining things for me more than once. Highly recommend at the very least reaching out for any problems anyone may have with their dogs or even if you just want to do extra training or refreshers. Worth every penny, you get what you put into it and more some.

I had a wonderful experience at Sit Means Sit! My trainer, Emily, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient with me. My dog now listens around distractions and has a reliable recall. I can confidently take him on walks without him pulling on the leash or trying to greet everyone we pass. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit for any dog training needs you may have!

Ryan is a very versatile trainer. He is able to find the way to train any dog, aggressive, anxious, high energy, stubborn…you name it. He trained our dog for a year and with his training we have accomplished more than we ever imagined. We went in to improve leash walking (too much pulling) & learn to have good recall when off leash but once we learned the fundamentals we have been able to teach her to paddle board, jump off the dock and learn lots of tricks. She is a happy dog and we are grateful pup parents.

Sit Means Sit is the best and Ryan is an amazing trainer! I don’t think I’ve seen a dog he can’t handle, from super aggressive to extremely agile. He even took in the challenge of training my three-legged pup. My pup didn’t have any behavioral issues but I wanted her to be a therapy dog. He helped make my girl even better, gain confidence, and we surpassed every goal we set for ourselves. Ryan is extremely innovative (we had to get a little creative with our physical handicap) and effective in his training.

I adopted a 3 1/2 year old Shepard mix from the pound 3 months ago. After a month of warming up to me, he was comfortable. He began showing his dominant personality and gave me huge challenges. Since joining Sit Mean Sit, I am able to take my dog on walks without dragging behind him and developed an awareness of not only my dog, but also my surroundings. We are still working on some of the behavioral challenges, but the Sit Mean Sit Team has shown us that nothing is impossible with practice and time. We tried a few other training methods before Sit Means Sit and nothing compared to this progress. The team is very friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. I have been especially thankful to the head trainer Ryan for showing a high level of compassion to not only my dog, but all the other dogs in group class. Matt and Ryan came to my house for a lesson and they taught me how to better handle some of the at home situations we were struggling with. Matt’s knowledge of dogs and how to train is truly amazing. I would recommend this program to everyone. It is worth every penny!

Thank you so much for all you have done for us and Remus. When we first started with you we were close to wits end with Remus, but you are the cornerstone into shaping who he is becoming.

You have helped Osiris, Siri, and I so much to accomplish our goals, to have fun and just be able to go out in public. You are an amazing trainer.

I want to thank you for being one of the kindest, giving trainers that we have had. We are truly blessed to have had you as our trainer.
