Program you were apart of?:
Puppy class & Day Train
Reason you looked for training?:
I knew immediately Marcie was going to be a handful. She is full of pointer spirit and extra sass, and I wanted to get a grasp on that right away.
Reason you chose Sit Means Sit?:
We started with the puppy classes when Marcie was only 14 weeks old. We liked that it was small class sizes and still allowed for some socialization/interaction.
Your dogs’ favorite part of Sit Means Sit?:
The trainers. Marcie gives them everything she’s got. She throws tantrums and gives them her sass, but she still gets excited every time she sees them.
Your favorite part of Sit Means Sit?:
The confidence Becca, Ali, and Tessie have given me to persist with the ongoing training. Throughout puppy and day train programs they have answers my never ending questions and helped me to identify Marcie’s cues and how to respond before she does, and leaving us both feeling good about the activity we’re working on!
You and your dogs’ greatest accomplishment with Sit Means Sit so far?:
Walking nicely on a leash and working to overcome pointer nose on walks! She even got to visit her first patio at only 6 months old and received compliments from the wait staff on how well behaved she was!

We brought our COVID puppy to Tessie at Sit Means Sit to help us with issues that we were having. Like many COVID puppies our dog is very fearful of people and reactive to other dogs. Tessie and her crew are amazing. She has a passion for what she does and it shows. She trains your dogs so they understand what we are asking them to do then she trains the owners as well so we can guide our dogs correctly to achieve results. Tessie makes you feel that you are not alone with your struggles. She truly loves the dogs that she works with and cares for the families as well. If you put in the work with the tools she gives you the results are amazing.

Hazel and Family see results!

Willow

Sit Means Sit-East Central has made life with our dog, Willow, so much better! Willow used to pull and run when we tried to walk her. She jumped on everyone and barked at people as we walked. She is a very high energy dog but she now heals and listens to us instead of trying to run after every squirrel, jump on people and bark at everything. We recently took her camping and she would sit and watch people without moving or barking! Everyone commented on how she is such a good dog and they wish their dog would do that! Well, your dog can do that if you have them trained at Sit Means Sit!

Tessie is amazing with dogs. She has a way of explaining things that will help you understand your dog even more than you already do. We initially went to a dog behaviouralist with our German Shepherd to be told to leave him in a room and medicate him for the rest of his life. We were hopeless until we found Sit means Sit. Tessie worked with our boy Blue and he loves her. If you are having any trouble with your dog I can happily say you found the right place to go!

Sit Means Sit has changed my out of control lab, Zoey, into a well-behaved dog. She pulled on a leash so badly that I couldn’t even take her for walks. After only one week, she was heeling off leash and right by my side. It was amazing! Now I enjoy hikes, walks, and other outings with her. I truly believe that Sit Means Sit can train any dog.

Sit Means Sit has made me feel empowered in training my dog. My husky has grown more than ever could have imagined in just a few weeks, and after our first group class this week, I’m getting a chance to see what’s ahead with his work. The trainers there are helpful, knowledgeable, and really help you understand your dog’s behavior and needs. feel so much safer with my dog, both with my others dogs, and out in the park and on walks. Thank you so much!!
