My husband and I adopted a young shelter dog, picked up as a stray. She is about a year and a half and had never lived in a home. Lily needed to learn manners, obedience and structure in order to live in peace and harmony.

Sit Means Sit staff, Grace and Courtney, took charge and helped us communicate and engage with Lily. It was a tough battle with some tears and frustration at times, but we made it through and we are all working on living our best life.

We couldn’t have gotten through this without the kindness and patience of everyone at Sit Means Sit. We know there is still more to learn but we now have the basics to keep moving forward. Thank you!

My experience here has been PHENOMENAL! They are all incredibly knowledgeable and have treated my dog like family. He’s learned so much in a short period of time. Best return on investment possible! The whole team is amazing, especially Courtney, Dan, Dave, and Tyler. Thank you so much!!!

We had an amazing experience with Sit means Sit Elkton. The staff is accommodating and friendly, and really felt like our partners throughout the entire process. Before training, we couldn’t watch tv without Tucker barking non stop, couldn’t go on walks because of his reactivity issues, and had a few other behavioral problems. Courtnie and Nina were amazing. They really took time to understand his issues and help set us up for success. We’ve been able to do all the things that we couldn’t do before, and even though Tucker is still learning (and so are we), we still feel supported in case we have any questions, and are making our way towards a completely changed dog. I couldn’t recommend Sit Means Sit Elkton, or Courtnie and Nina more.

I recently rescued a reactive, high energy, very anxious 1 year old pup. The first few weeks of having her were very stressful, which is when I began my search for a trainer. I was lucky enough to work with Grace, Josh, and David at Sit Means Sit who not only took incredible care of my girl, but have made home life with her exponentially better. She starts her group training this week, but even just after graduating from her one on one lessons, it is already like she’s a new dog. I can’t thank Sit Means Sit enough for giving us the training tools and confidence we were lacking. Hallie loved them, I loved them, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any and all people seeking a better relationship/ life with their dog.

We love Sit Means Sit! We go to the Elkton location and it’s great! Grace, Josh, and Courtney were amazing with our pup Peyton. she was very timid, shy, and would bite a lot and she was rough but with the help and guidance of the trainers she has really made a huge turnaround. They have so much patience and really taught me how to utilize my son as her distraction with training! Peyton has grown so much and we just started group classes and it’s really working for her! We have taken her to stores we shop at often and even the workers see the difference, we tell them we are in training with Sit Means Sit! Peyton has the potential to become a great listener and it’s already showing! Thank you so much and we can’t wait for the next group class!

Our dogs Bella and Colt just completed their 4 weeks of obedience training at Sit Means Sit in Elkton. We are so excited with the results! Our trainers Courtnie, Josh, and Grace did an outstanding job with both dogs as we had many challenges to overcome. The sessions were tailored to meet each dog’s individual needs and build on their successes. At the end of a session we were able to practice what was learned and given strategies to help with our training at home. We look forward to our group classes to continue with their progress. Thank you for bringing out the best in our dogs!

Sit Means Sit was life-changing for my household! It was worth every penny paid, my 5 year old dog learned awesome manners and walking him is now enjoyable. The instructors were all fabulous to work with, took excellent care of my dog on training days, and were clear and helpful during one-on-one classes after training days. I would highly recommend this service if you have a dog that is “un-trainable” or if other dog training services haven’t worked for you.

Sit Means Sit has been nothing short of life changing for us and our relationship with our Rescue dog Kobe. Everyone from Dan to all of his team were simply amazing. We absolutely have to give nothing but high praise to Kobe’s direct trainer Brittany. Brittany is nothing short of a Rock Star as a trainer. Kobe was literally off leash sitting with me in our front yard while I washed my car. Absolutely impossible of a task prior to training with Brittany. Now Kobe heels when walking, stays in place, gives us his full attention when we demand it and seems to even be happier than he was prior to training despite having more rules to follow. Most importantly Kobe is doing much better with his impulse control but has made significant strides in that dept to the point where others that saw the before and after version of him are extremely complimentary of how well he does now compared to before training. To sum it up we are incredibly satisfied and this is despite us being under the impression we were to bring him everyday and at the end of 3 weeks he would be done. Instead Brittany let us know it was one day per week for 3 weeks and she turned our good pup into a great one. We are thankful to Brittany and the Sit means sit team.

I have a Belgian Malinois which is an active, strong-willed breed. I am so thankful for the training at Sit Means Sit. My dog is doing amazing. She is like one of those TV dogs now. And it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to continue practicing with the group classes after the private sessions. She just continues to improve and use her skills even around a lot of other dogs. The trainers are so nice and caring to the pets as well. Highly recommend!

Great experience at Sit Means Sit with our two bull terriers. They were patient with our stubborn bull-headed dogs. They lay a good framework and give you the tools but the owner must do most of the training at home. They do give good support and the graduate lessons are great to continue the work with your dog. This program is not cheap but I highly recommend to anyone serious about getting their dogs trained.

I was amazed with the results even after the very first class! Our pup is so much better than we expected after only 3 lessons. We look forward to continuing on with the group classes that are included to get the most out of the program, and see even more improvement with our pup! Shout out to Chelsea who worked with Winnie and taught us the basics which were life changing!

Sit Means Sit along with their trainer Carmen did an amazing Job with my rambunctious boxer in 3 short weeks! They treated, loved, and care for my pup as if it was their own. Would highly recommend Sit Means Sit to any dog owner looking for structure and obedience for their dog!
