These Dog Breeds Love the Autumn Air

While most dogs love to spend outside getting exercise and fresh air, there are a few dog breeds that love it a little bit more, especially as the season changes and it starts to get a bit cooler outside.

Check out these dog breeds that love the autumn air.

Doberman Pinscher

Dobies are great dogs to have in autumn. They are short coats that are easy to brush and keep them nice and cool in the summer. However, with all the exercise they need, a slightly colder climate keeps them even more comfortable for their extended time outside.

Weimaraner

This dog breed also needs tons of exercise and time outside. However, with their short coat that is usually a silver-gray color, they will not need to spend a lot of time getting cleaned up when they finally come inside. Their short coats are extremely easy to keep clean, and a quick wipe of the paws is usually all it takes.

Smooth Collie

Unlike a traditional Rough Collie, this dog breed has a nice short topcoat that stays much cleaner than its cousins. They have a similar temperament, being intelligent and energetic. However, you will be much more willing to spend time outside with this breed when getting cleaned up is so easy!

Beagles

Not only do these dogs have short coats that are a breeze to keep clean in the muddy and wet fall months, but their strong sense of smell will come alive in the autumn. With all the new smells and the piles of leaves burying hidden treasures, your beagle will spend hours searching outside for anything new.
