LindseyKennel Manager

Hello! My name is Lindsey. I have worked in multiple areas of this company, starting as a trainer with Sit Means Sit Northern Colorado in 2018. I am now one of the Kennel Managers at All Pro Dogs K9 Corral and Sit Means Sit Northern Colorado. Each experience with the company has been a wonderful, but working on the management side has been my favorite because it allows me to interact with our clients and their pups in multiple ways!

I have worked in dog rescue for over fifteen years, starting back home in Nebraska and continuing out here in Colorado. I love all dogs, but rescue dogs definitely have my heart, especially pitties! Every time I see a big head and chunky body, my heart melts! Having been in the rescue world so long, seeing dogs with various behavioral backgrounds has given me a passion for those issues and is why I love seeing our dogs in training blossom and overcome their individual hurdles.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling classes, concerts, hiking, ping pong, thrift stores and volunteer work within our community. My favorite thing is spending time outdoors with my own two rescue gals, Gertrude and Finnegan, a.k.a Big Girl.

Fort Collins Dog Trainer

SarahTrainer

Hello! My name is Sarah and I have worn many hats over the past few years while working at Sit Means Sit Northern Colorado.  Starting as the receptionist, working up to kennel manager and then finally being set on training, I have worked with all ends of what the dog industry has to offer.  In the process, I have become Pet Tech certified to teach pet CPR and First Aid.  While only being with Sit Means Sit Northern Colorado since March of 2021, I have been working with dogs professionally since 2015.

I originally started working with dogs with the intention of becoming a veterinarian but quickly figured out that was not the right path for me. After moving to Colorado in 2017 to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Zoology at Colorado State University, I started to work as a kennel tech in different daycares. I quickly started to fall in love with the behavior of dogs and what made each dog tick. Taking a dog psychology and behavior course to finish my degree only further piqued my interest which is when I really dove into the world of dog training. After starting with Sit Means Sit, I learned more every day and was fascinated by the results and quick turnarounds that I was seeing. It made me really happy to see owners reach their goals with their own dogs and be a successful team out in public.

Because I knew dogs were always going to be a part of my life, as soon as I was able, I adopted my first dog Boots. He is my cattle dog/border collie mix who jumped me right into the deep end of training and eventually dog sports. When I first got him, he had zero obedience, was reactive to both dogs and people, and had very low confidence. He has since done a complete turnaround and is now my right-hand companion, demo dog and my go to dog while working with our training dogs. Once our obedience and relationship had a strong foundation, we started getting into the world of dog sports. Trick Dog, Agility, and Dock Diving are sports we are working on further titling and competing in. To help further my journey in training, I got my second dog, Vega, a rough collie who I am training in rally and obedience and hopefully agility soon. I am working on achieving a therapy dog certification for her as well.

Sit Means Sit Dog Trainer

JoeyOffice Manager

Obviously, the cat is out of the bag, I have cats (and despite his body language I am actually his pet parent)! But dogs are so very precious to me too (as well as pretty much all pets & animals). I am the Office Manager here at Sit Means Sit, with many things I can help you out with to ensure you leave with happy dogs- scheduling a consultation for our training programs, giving information about what other services we have on offer for your furry family member, and I even sell dog doors! If I don’t have an answer about one of our services, I am happy to get it or point you to the right people. I have been here since April of 2021, and while I am no trainer, I have been here long enough to observe that our training method ensures both you and your dog get the essential skills needed to instill good behavior!

I may not a Colorado native, I sure wish I were! I was born and raised in (upstate) New York where I completed my Bachelor of Science through studying Natural Resources. I then moved to Washington state after undergrad to study rattlesnakes and the potential effects of wildfires on them for my Master of Science thesis. So, whether they have no legs and scales or four legs and fur, they are beloved to me!

Dog Owners Reviews

We love customers and their dogs. They love us.

Tracy S.

My “crazy” dog, Rose, was within hours if being put down. She had severe panic attacks & would bark uncontrollably. The neighbors were scared of her and someone even called the police on her. Our family was miserable and the whole household was tense and unhappy. After working with Adam we are able to bring…

Nikole S.

Their training philosophy and process is incredible. After one session my very intelligent border collie golden retriever mix was like a different dog. I am so impressed with the improvement she has made. We have worked with her since she was a puppy and she is now three years old, and I am just blown…

Aaron P.

Sit Means Sit NoCo is amazing! Adam has been working with my two daughters and their Golden Retrievers for a very short time and we have already seen incredible results. He is a patient and encouraging instructor. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Andrea L.

I absolutely love the classes taught by Adam of Sit Means Sit! My 2-year-old Lab/Border Collie Raven is learning quickly all the good manners a dog is expected to have – and much more: we are now doing some agility training and preparing for the CGC certificate. Every dog should go through this training and…
