Mike is great! Easy scheduling, makes it easy to continue teaching the dog after sessions. Works with the whole family to make sure our puppy hears the same thing from all of us to help her retain the lessons.

We rescued our boy Jake, he is a Border Collie mix with lots of energy. He was sweet, but totally out of control. He barked and lunged at everyone and every other animal he saw. In the house he charged the door whenever anyone came to our house. We sought out Mike from Sit means Sit. After working with Mike we can actually walk our dog without craziness. He can be around other people and animals without him barking and jumping all over them. He truly had a transformation . Even our vet commented on how much of a difference the training has made with our sweet boy. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and we recommend him to all our friends.

We were having issues with barking, uncontrollable pulling, chasing smaller children, etc.

Let me start by saying we shopped around to various “well known”, much larger, fancy name options but went with Mike @ Sit Means Sit. His pricing wasn’t the cheapest in town, but his experience by far was unmatched and worth every penny. Furthermore we could see results after just the first session! We couldn’t be more happy with the results we had and the opportunity to train with Mike.

We’ve spent countless amounts on previous trainers with subpar results. If you are searching for a trainer, I strongly encourage you to give him a try. You won’t regret it guaranteed!

We had really great results with our lab pup, Daisy. She really enjoyed the sessions and was happy to show me what she learned when she got home from school!

We had the pleasure of working with Mike, for puppy training with our very energetic doodle and leash training with our slightly rotten young adult doodle.

Mike’s approach is grounded in positivity and encouragement, and he truly understands how to bring out the best in each dog he works with. He was patient and understanding with our pup, and his clear communication and techniques helped us see immediate progress in our dog’s behavior.

Overall, we are grateful for the time we spent with Mike, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and kind-hearted dog trainer. Thank you, Mike, for everything!

Mike did a fantastic job with our german shepherd, Chief. From the first evaluation, we set our goals and Mike shaped his training plan accordingly. We brought our dog once a month for 5 months and have seen really great progress after each training session. Mike also went above and beyond going out of his way to make an at-home trip on the weekend to address some concerns we had. We are looking forward to continuing his work with Chief and cannot recommend Sit Means Sit enough!

Since we started working with Sit Means Sit, our dogs behavior has improved tremendously, and walks could not be more enjoyable! Mike is extremely professional and reliable. We highly recommend his training services.

No nonsense, quality training. Our dog is well on his way after a few sessions.

Mike is so wonderful! He took on the challenge of training my two puppies and made me feel confident that I could handle them when I am on my own. My puppies are 6 and 7 months old and they listen better than my 6 year old dog. Highly recommend him to everyone with a fur baby because he makes change evident in dogs behaviors. Great experience!

Highly recommend Sit Means Sit Frisco. The owner/trainer Mike knows his business and we have never had a dog trained so well. After the first lesson we could see a huge difference and were surprised at what Major learned and retained in just 1 day.

We love Mike at Sit Means Sit! We took both our puppies to him starting at 10 weeks old. They are very well behaved and our friends and neighbors notice too! They are now 5 and 6 months old and know sit, down, place, how to walk on a leash, off, and many manners. Highly recommend!

The Sit Means Sit program enabled me to take my two dogs Gaea and Dayzee on mountain hikes without worrying about them chasing wildlife. It’s great to hike with my dogs and not worry about spooking the wildlife, thank you!

We took our two pitbulls to Sit Means Sit for training. Sit Means Sit did a wonderful job training our dogs. Kileaux was always easily distracted and Nikita was a rambunctious puppy. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching us how to work with our dogs on continued training.

It is hard to find companies that will work with pitbull puppies, let alone full grown 115+ lb pitbulls. However, Sit Means Sit never failed to make my dogs feel loved and welcomed – which was an added bonus to the amazing quality of training we received. I will absolutely be referring Sit Means Sit to friends and family!

Best Money I Ever Spent

Before we started working with Sit Means Sit our dog Piper was becoming more and more dominant with us and other dogs and unresponsive to her training that we had done with other trainers. Shantelle came out a few days after our initial call with Mike and was able to talk us through the options that they had available as well as provide good expectations on the kinds of things we could expect from Piper after the training was complete. We decided to do the board and train for her and were sent pictures and video of her progress along the way. Once Piper returned home we continued to work with her with the tools that Mike and Shantelle gave us and she has made and continues to make excellent progress! The group classes that were a part of the board and train that we selected have been tremendously helpful in re-enforcing that training on a weekly basis and getting help dealing with any new issues that might come up both with Piper and how I can better respond to things. Both Mike and Shantelle have been terrific with responding to questions or concerns over the phone, email and during class. It was some of the best money that I have spent and would highly recommend them for any problem “children” or any other dog that would benefit from more guidance and better listening skills!

The extremely fearful pitbull learns how to trust again

Sit Means Sit has been the best thing we have ever done for our dog Harvey (other than adopting him). My husband and I are complete believers as we never thought we would find a training program to help our dog, Harvey. Harvey is a 2 year old pointer/pitbull mix that we adopted a little over a year before we joined the Sit Means Sit program. Unfortunately Harvey was bounced around to a few shelters before we found him, so we don’t know a lot about his early life. What we do know about Harvey is that he is EXTREMELY scared and anxious of all new people. Whenever new people came near him he would either pee on the floor, run away or cower. This made taking him places and having people over extremely difficult. We heard about Sit Means Sit through a colleague whose dog was already in the program, and we decided to give it a shot. The training method that Mike and Shantelle have put in place is amazing. It applies to all dogs with all different behavioral issues. We started with the private classes where Shantelle came to our home to train Harvey in the basics. Within the first class, we were able to get Harvey to come up to people he didn’t know (even if he was unsure about it). Since then, his progress has been incredible. After the private sessions were completed, we started bringing Harvey to the weekly group classes. In group classes, Mike works with everyone on their dogs’ specific needs/issues. For Harvey, this means having strangers pet him and feed him. It is great to be able to get together with other people and dogs twice a week to work on making your dog the best version of itself. The private and group classes are an extremely positive and supportive environment. Mike and Shantelle are exceptionally patient with all of the animals, and you can tell how much they really love dogs. I cannot say enough good things about Sit Means Sit. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants help train their dog in a way that is encouraging, constructive and long lasting. THANK YOU Sit Means Sit for helping us!!
