Arrival Story: My wife and I were interested in getting a dog, when a co-worker mentioned that a women in his apartment building had a German Shepherd she wanted to find a new home. The dog had out grown her apartment and was “too much” for her to handle. Upon first meeting Kota at 9 months old he was a great looking dog and was fairly friendly! We knew we had to scoop him up!

Motto: Our nickname for Kota is “Kota Bear”. Sometimes you get the teddy bear and sometimes you get the grizzly bear.

Why Training/ Sit Means Sit: Some bad habits started creeping to the surface within a few months of adopting Kota and learning how his previous owner handled him. Kota struggles with meeting new people and has yet to build a tolerance for children. We needed a training program that could help focus our dog’s energy and excitement. Something beyond simple tricks. Sit Means Sit offers just that. After our first session we could tell that Kota was easier to focus and was more responsive to commands. We also learned how to better “read” our dog and become more in sync with his behavior.
