Dog’s Name: “Bevo”

City: Austin, TX 78728

Breed: Rescue Border Collie Mix

Likes:Bevo loves to take walks, go on car rides and loves dog parks and play with his pack. He loves his baby pool on hot days.

Pet-Peeves: He doesn’t like going to the vet. He goes in and gets weigh in and then immediately he turns around and goes for the door. He doesn’t like to share his toys at times, but he has learned with 3 other dogs in the house he does back down to the older dogs.

Favorite Toy: Peanut Butter Kong, treat ball and stuffed animals. He likes to play chase and keep away from his other house mates.

Favorite Treat: Pup-peroni, he is treat aggresive and will do pretty much anything for a treat. But he always sits and does high five to get his treat.

Favorite Walk: All walks are his favorites, especially when he can see birds, ducks, squirrels and other dogs along the trail. He has just leared to swim and when we are either Red Bud Trail or the new Cedar Park dog park, he is constantly in the water.

Best Trick: High Five and hand shake

Arrival Story: Bevo is my fourth and last dog of my pack. I have 4 dogs and all are border collie mixes. But I had gotten a puppy and Sadie kept bothering my two older dogs Nike and Sasha, so I decided to get another puppy to keep my first puppy occupied. It did the trick, they play constantly and now my other two dogs have finally ajusted and all 4 play with each other. I saw Bevo online in Pet Finder in the Border Collie section and drove 110 miles to take a look at him at the Boerne County Animal Shelter. It was love at first sight and took him home.

Why Training / Sit Means Sit: Well, I needed help. Sadie has been on every type of harness and walking aid, even Petsmart training and nothing has stopped her from pulling. Bevo and Sadie would not come when called. Bevo got very destructive with eating the outside and inside of my house. I have only been training for 5 days now and oh my god. For the first time ever Sadie can walk with just her collar and didn’t pull one time on our walk. Both Bevo and Sadie now comes when called. I can’t say enough and I know it will only get better as our training continues. I have already referred two other dog owners while I was out walking my four.
