Austin Dog Training: Heeler/Aussie Mix Has The Right Spark Along With Smarts!

Client’s Name: Vickiblack dog laying on floor

Dog’s Name: “Lilith”

City: Austin, TX

Breed: Heeler/Aussie Mix

Likes: “Loves water!! And walks are the most exciting thing in a day.  She greets me with a toy when I walk in the door and is certainly one of the best companions I have ever had.
She also loves to play with our two other dogs.”

Pet-Peeves: “Getting her nails trimmed.”

Favorite Toy: “Currently, anything that is hard that she can chew on! She’s teething again. Stuffed toys are also lots of fun as the de-stuffing process is clearly one of the best things ever.”

Favorite Treat: Dried beef liver and rawhide chews

Favorite Walk: Anywhere. She loves our daily route down Congress Ave, but all walks are great because sniffing where other dogs have been is more thrilling than most anything.

Best Trick: None yet.

Arrival Story: “I got her from Austin Pets Alive. She spotted me across the parking lot next to a PetSmart and an Ulta store where I was headed for mascara. She picked me and I let her! She seemed very smart, with a good temperment and willing to learn and connect with me. Also, her coloring is what I love – black with copper paws and some copper markings around her face.  Her paws also looked like she would not be too large, and she isn’t ~ 40-45 lbs. We have two other dogs and 3 cats. She gets along with everyone.”

Why Training / Sit Means Sit: “”We started with puppy classes with Karma Dog Training.  We moved to Sit Means Sit because the program offers an opportunity to train Lilith to be off-leash and listen well despite distractions.  I think she is smart enough to learn this quickly. As well, because of my schedule is inconsistent, the ability of the instructors to come to me and the group classes being offered many days a week, makes it even feasible to participate.””

Motto: “Sweet, smart, with just the right amount of spark.”
