Client’s Name: Joanne & Jason
Dog’s Name: “Stanley”

Pet-Peeves: Stanley likes to play and run, and enjoys going to the dog park whenever he can fit it into his busy schedule!
Favorite Toy: Stanley likes to play and run, and enjoys going to the dog park whenever he can fit it into his busy schedule!
Favorite Treat: Strangely, Stanley’s FAVORITE treat is ice cubes. I don’t know how exactly it started, but now we can’t even look at the freezer, without Stanley “showing off” that he’s a good boy and deserves a cube! He also LOVES rawhide and biscuits but has never turned away a treat!
Favorite Walk: Stan loves to go on walks and we take him all over the neighborhood. He especially likes when we take him to Bull Creek and to the dog park!
Best Trick: Stanley is the KING of “Shake a Paw”. He will shake with us whenever he thinks that he may receive an ice cube or doggy cookie out of the deal!
Arrival Story: Our 13 year old Westie passed away in July and we are absolutely heartbroken. I had rescued him when he was a year old in Philadelphia, and he made us fall in love with him more every day. We always knew that we would get another dog, and we knew we wanted to rescue a dog from the pound. After only 3 weeks of a terribly empty house, I saw Stanley’s picture on the Austin Humane Society’s website. I INSTANTLY fell in love with him. The next day, we adopted him. His silly personality and terrific smile (with the tongue that stick out the side!), melts our heart!
Why Training / Sit Means Sit: We knew that Stanley was a good boy but would need work. He is 17 months old and has spent his whole life in the pound. We knew there would be a lot of new experiences for him, that he had never seen before, and Stanley doesn’t always know how to react to certain situations, children and bicycles frighten him, and he has an attention issue. I saw the Sit Means Sit booth set up at the Pecan St Festival, spoke with Shelley there and went home to do some research on SMS. All I found were happy dogs and happy owners, and we decided that we needed to give Stan direction, so we can take him to more places with us and not worry about him misbehaving!
Motto: Pure Happiness. Stanley is happy to play with us, kiss and love on us, go on walks with us, and every time I look at his goofy face, he’s smiling at us. We are looking forward to when he is trained and can really enjoy the world around him!
