We have an 8mo old Aussie that joined our family as the pandemic began. Due to our age, we had little interaction with others. As a result, the puppy would cower behind us and gradually start barking aggressively at people and other dogs. After working with Meko, she is now comfortable around others, including our young grandchildren. He is a great trainer and clearly helped us to know how to continue in a positive way!

I have a pit bull that is about 7 years old named Khaleed. My son got him as a puppy. Khaleed had no prior training until Sit Means Sit. He was a stubborn dog. He would pull while on a leash, he would not come to me when called, he would not sit when asked to sit & he was not very friendly with other dogs. He has always been great with people. I had my doubts prior to his training. However, Mickie was instrumental with Khaleed’s training techniques. What a difference it has made.

Khaleed does not pull while on a leash now, he comes to me when called, I can tell him place and he stays in place, & of course when I say sit, he sits. Since the training I can honestly say my dog & I are better companions. I can take him out in public with confidence. We often get compliments on his behavior. Sometimes when we go for walks & someone walks near us, I tell Khaleed to sit & of course he does. At this point I am just bragging.

We go to the dog park & he gets to play with other dogs. What a difference the training has made for me & Khaleed. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit. Thank you, Mickie.

Our dog Sam is a German Shepherd rescue from a shelter and was surrendered by his family for killing chickens on their farm. We did not learn this fact until adopting him. When Sam first came into our home, although not aggressive, he was out of control. He barked at everything, helped himself to things on the kitchen counter or off our plates, and we had to gate stairs and rooms to keep him out of trouble. We debated whether Sam was a good fit to live in our home. Then Mickie came for a visit to evaluate Sam. She assured us that his behaviors were normal but also trainable. She was booked for weeks, but while we waited, she stayed in contact graciously giving advice and answering our many questions. We received our training collar and it instantly made a difference. The biggest difference, however, was working with Mickie in our home and at the facility. We saw immediate results with Sam. He was more controlled and had a “working” mentality. We are a year in and now cannot imagine our lives without Sam. He has become a calmer and more obedient dog. He is very loyal and a good mix

of fun-loving energy and calm. Without Mickie, Sam may have gone back to the shelter. We continue working with Mickie taking Sam to her group classes and are incredibly grateful for the influence she had on him. It is clear she cares very much about the dogs she works with and their owners.
