Making the Holidays Fun for Your Dog

Making the Holidays Fun for Your Dog

The holidays can be a busy and stressful time, and it can be easy to start to neglect your pup a bit with so much going on. To ensure they feel included we’ve made a list of different ways your dog can enjoy this holiday season with you!

Include Fido in your family photo

Now’s your chance to get your pup in that adorable holiday costume. Your furry friend is apart of your family, so include them in your holiday pictures! Your friends and family will also love getting to see your dog dressed in all their holiday glory. Bet of all, it’ll give your dog a sense of inclusion, bonding your relationship even more.

Make your pup their own stocking

Your dog may not be able to make a list of all the presents they hope for this year, but that definitely doesn’t mean they wouldn’t love some holiday gifts too. When everyone’s opening their presents and stocking stuffers your canine will get to join in on the fun and attempt to open a gift from you as well (they may need a little help doing so though).

Make some dog-friendly holiday treats

Nothing says it’s the holidays like a kitchen filled with freshly baked treats. Your canine companion is sure to be begging for some of that delicious smelling food. Instead of sneaking them a few pieces here and there why not make them their very own treats that will also be good for them too.

Check out the holiday light displays

Driving around to check out the Holiday lights is a tradition for many people, so why not invite Fido! If your pup loves car rides this will be a blast for them. They may not admire the beautiful lights as much as you do, but it will create bonding memories to last a lifetime. Your dog is sure to love getting to spend all that quality time with you as well.

Take them on your holiday trip

The holidays mean traveling for a lot of people, and traveling usually means getting your dog a sitter or taking them to a dog hotel. Instead, why not take them with you? There are more dog-friendly hotels and restaurants than you think, and all the new sites and smells will be mentally stimulating fot your pup.

Make this holiday season fun for you and Fido this year by including them in your traditions. It’ll make some magical memories for not only you but your pup as well!
