The staff were great with the needs of my rescue dog Skye. Kim was amazing with her and they really worked with Skyes fear of men. My dog loved attending and was always happy on drop off and pick up!

I came to Sit Means Sit with an anxious, shy, reactive, and timid 1.5 year old dog and within 3 one on one training sessions the trainers turned Henry into an attentive and assured little guy. This training program suited me and my dog perfectly well, and I can confidently say that it helped our bond as owner and dog. All the trainers are professional, kind, and most importantly, seriously KNOWLEDGEABLE. They are all deeply passionate about animals, and it shows. Henry worked with Kim, and well as Cassidy’s and Sal. They were amazing. Not only do they train your dog, but they train you on how to be a better owner to your four legged companion. If I could give them 6/5 stars, I would. Forever grateful to everyone at Sit Means Sit for helping me and Henry enter a new chapter.

The moment we walked in we knew this was a great place. We spoke with Claudia when we arrived and she was very personable and accommodating. We also spoke with Cassidy who patiently and with no pressure evaluated our dog and explained the programs offered. She was very knowledgeable and open to all kinds of questions. We signed up for 3 full day training sessions and must say Sal and Kim are the absolute best. They spent each day working with our dog followed by a session with us at pick up. Their explanation and patience with us was amazing. You can tell they love working with each and every dog. I would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough positive comments about Sit Means Sit. Kim and Salvatore went above and beyond to help me with my “not so obedient” pup. I always felt confident when it came to leaving him for his daily training and knew he was in good hands. I always felt he improved another 100% every time I picked him up and continue to see a world of a difference. I never felt rushed at pick up and everyone took the time to answer any and all questions/concerns I had. Hailey was a rockstar when it came to going over all of my instructions on how to work my tools at home so I could continue my training. Hailey was also extremely observant and knowledgeable at check in time. Claudia and Cassidy are always a pleasure to interact and communicate with on the phone and via email. The owner Ray makes sure he is involved with every pet to ensure quality care and training. He should be proud to have such an outstanding group of trainers on his hands. I cannot wait to continue my group training and know my pup would not be where he is today without their help and expertise! I will always recommend them for any training needs. Great job!

Our dogs no longer pull on their leashes when on a walk or bark at other dogs and people as we pass by. The kindness and patience shown to our dogs as they were being trained were extended to my husband and I. Thank you to Cassidy, Kim, Hailey, Sal, and Claudia for your knowledge and skills in developing our dogs to be the best they can be.

Cassidy and Haley are great. They take the time to show you each new skill learned. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do. I see a huge difference in my dog and all thanks to Sit Means Sit.

Kim, Sal, and Hailey were amazing with me and my dogs. The whole staff is top notch and you can tell they love what they do. They loved my dogs like they were their own. They really understood the dogs and helped them be the best version of themselves. I can’t wait to bring them to group classes and see what else we can teach them! I’m so happy we came here, I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else with my babies!

Sam G.

Brought my dogs here and am so happy I did. Kim, Sal, and Hailey were great and taught me how to control my dogs without changing their personalities. They truly loved my dogs and I never had any concerns leaving them in their care. Their staff is amazing and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

My dog Chico (2 years old) is a rescue dog so there’s always an adjustment between dog and dog owner. Sit means sit dog training really helped Chico and I communicate better. Chico is a loving dog he just needed some structure and guidance on what to do. Sit means sit dog training was exactly what I needed to communicate those specific instructions to Chico. The staff (Sal, Cassidy, Claudia, and Hailey) who worked with Chico during his 6 week training course we’re very kind, patient and knowledgeable. They fell in love with Chico. They were also very friendly, kind and patient with me. I appreciate the time and effort they spent on Chico. His behavior is completely different than when we first arrived during his consultation. Thank you all so much!

Rachelle L.

Thank you so much Hailey and Cassidy! The professionalism and caring mannerism you showed to Harley and to us during her training journey was just perfect! Patience and direction from all of you helped us to gain control and enjoy Harley! Walks are so much more enjoyable! Everything from consult to scheduling to training went smooth and painless! Every question and concern was answered! We will definitely see you soon! Thank you !!!

We took a dog with resource anxiety, a history of biting within his own home, and general misbehavior to SMS. After meeting with owner Ray, our Jackson has worked with Cassidy, Sal, and Kim to become a well behaved gentleman, who can be walked at leisure without excessive effort, does not lurch at neighbors, or even acknowledge other pets, I can have my pet out and still converse with the neighbors while Jackson sits quietly .I am proud to say that even my wife, who was scared to death that she would lose control of the dog and be unable to handle him, can also walk the dog with a minimum of exertion or effort. Jackson will never stop his association with SMS, as they even offer after training group sessions for review and re-inforcement. This is not the same animal that we walked in with on the first visit. And for that we are especially grateful for their training and guidance.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to send him for training. The trainers are awesome! Sal and Cassidy knew what they were doing and any questions that I had they were always there to answer them. Ray was awesome when signing my dog up, he was professional and knowledgeable about the program. After my dog graduated from training, he was allowed to go to group training, which is fun and different for our dog which he loves.

Sit Means Sit is an excellent training facility. When my family and I walked in we knew we had found the perfect place for our Rottweiler puppy. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and had our dog doing things in the first session that I didn’t think were possible, and I want to send a special thanks to the trainers Kim , Cassidy, and Sal they went above and beyond with our puppy and we couldn’t be happier.

Everyone at Sit Means Sit NJ was awesome, from the very first class (and Luci was a handful that morning!). I know we have more work to do, but everyone has been very informative and helpful to give us the start we needed. I am sorry I do not remember everyone’s names, but I would love to give an extra thank you to Kim, who had a special bond with Luci and did such a great job with him! We look forward to seeing everyone at group!

Kim, Sal, and another young lady helped Train my Pitbull puppy Spirit!
They are extremely helpful, attentive, and overall good at what they do.
Spirit definitely made some new friends at Sit means Sit through the Gold program!
Would recommend!!

We want to thank Sit Means Sit Team for the great job they have done with my dog, especially Kim and Cassidy for the amazing job with my 2 year old dog Lily. My family and I are very grateful with the staff of Sit means Sit, they are very professional, knowledgeable, patient. We now can feel safe to walk her without pulling the leach. I would highly recommend you bring your dog and you will see how they work their magic!

Javier J.

My little Ruger is extremely well trained for only being 4 months, and it only took 3 sessions! Would not take my dog to any other place to be trained & will be coming here for future business. The staff is so friendly & treated my dog so well. He was always so happy to spend the day with them. I highly recommend coming here.

We had a wonderful experience at Sit Means Sit. We had been working with another trainer for about a year and our dog was improving, but he did not give very clear directions and my daughter was afraid to train the dog because he was always telling her she was anything right. We spent one class with our trainer Kim and my special needs daughter work the dog like a pro. If was the first time she was able to handle the dog so happy and I was so proud of her. They were very patient and now our dog is so much better. I would highly recommend Sit means sit.

If you’re looking for onboard training, look no further. Sit Means Sit has one of the best programs I’ve seen. Before training, Freya, who had beef with the neighboring dog, would try to run and bark towards the neighbor in frenzy even with a prong on. Now, she pays them no mind while walking next to me leashed with a simple leather collar. After almost 2 weeks of training, Freya has become more obedient, significantly not as jumpy as before (still working on that at home), decreased random barking, and became more confident. I was out of town for those days and Freya stayed overnight with Ray and his family. Ray was fantastic in keeping us updated with photos and videos. She was even cuddling with him on the couch! Cassidy, our trainer, is kind, honest, respectful, and informative while she taught me how to train my Doberman puppy. Cassidy is certainly a dog whisperer and Freya was reluctant to leave as she kissed her goodbye!

I have an Australian Cattle Dog that’s 10 years old. His name is Rascal and that name fits him perfectly. After doing training at Sit Means Sit, I can finally bring him around other dogs, he’s very obedient, focused on me, and I feel like I have a whole new dog. My parents and my friends didn’t believe it was the same dog after he graduated his training class. If I would’ve known about sit means sit along time ago I would’ve taken him then. They are extremely professional, kind hearted, Knowledgeable, and I felt like I known the trainers forever. I would highly recommend if you have a dog aggressive dog or a dog that you think you can teach new tricks to, to bring them to sit means sit and watch them work their magic.

Wonderful, caring, and professional dog trainers. Helpful and patient with dog parents too!

Had a wonderful experience with the 3 day classes and already see so much improvement with Finn and with my own confidence and abilities. Had great encounters with all of the staff but Cassidy is exceptional! She is incredibly patient and knowledgeable and made me feel very much at ease with the process. I was able to reach out on “off-days” and was given a lot of guidance and support which is exactly what is needed in this process! Every time I came to pick Finn up he was happy and well cared for which alleviated so much anxiety. Using the tools Cassidy gave me and guidance in “un-learning” certain behaviors that turned out to be undermining or a hinderance to the work as a dog momma coupled with the actual collar has already yielded incredible results- less barking, less aggression, less frustration, less yelling, more fun and play, more encouragement and control and less anxiety for both Finn and myself. Will be continuing with group classes and feel very hopeful! Sit Means Sit NJ is excellent- ask for Cassidy 😀

Taking my pup here was one of the best things we could’ve ever done! Not only has his obedience SIGNIFICANTLY improved, but also my bond with him. The two trainers (Kim and Cassidy) that worked with him and I were so patient and kind to us while showing us the ropes of how to continue are training at home. They also did a phenomenal job with training my dog. Couldn’t have been happier with our results!!

I brought Jameson, my 5 months old pit lab mix, with much skeptcisim due to Jameson’s age. I have had dogs all my life but Jameson was my first “big” dog, 50 pounds at 5 months. He was not a gentle Ben by any means. He was a jumper, leash puller, and bit aggressive with his teething and playfulness with other dogs. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable and assured me. Kim, Ray and Cassidy handed over Jameson’s after his first session and what a difference. Fast forwards a month later and for being only 6 months old Jameson follows commands, listens, a joy to walk , and is a well-behaved friendly dog. He’s still young and sometimes forgets but is easily redirected and a joy to be around. They truly are dog whisperers in every sense of the word.

We brought Shay, our 2 year old german shepherd, to Sit Means Sit to work on her loose leash walking, coming when called and paying attention. Now it’s like we have a new and improved dog! Shay comes when called, rarely looks at the stray cats we have in the yard and when she looks at them she looks right at me (she used to chase them to the road). She is not dragging me when we walk anymore and is coming when called. Like the trainers say, as long as you are consistent everything will be fine. I had a little trouble with Shay and expressed what was happening to the trainers and they showed me how to fix it without me feeling incompetent which I really loved, and now I don’t have trouble anymore. If I could give 10 stars I would in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Sit Means Sit!

This has been such a positive experience. Cassidy and Kim have gone out of their way to tailor training sessions to meet my dogs specific needs. They are kind but honest and very supportive. Because of this, I feel very comfortable asking questions and sharing my concerns with them. My dog is doing beautifully, and we are now greatly enjoying group classes. I’m so grateful for this experience!!

I want to thank the Sit Means Sit team, specially Kim and Cassidy for the phenomenal job they have done with 9 month old Great Dane (Apollo). My gentle giant is truly showing his best qualities and I know he will only grow to be the best and most behaved Great Dane ever!! My family and I are very grateful to have chosen Sit Means Sit as our behavioral school of choice for our little guy. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. The adventure is only beginning for us and I love that I can always reach out if there is something I still need to correct and they will be more than happy to help. Thank you!

We chose SIT MEANS SIT(SMS)to help us control the behavior of our newly adopted 2 year old beagle-bulldog. Although not aggressive, our dog’s intense pulling on the leash and excitability when other dogs were nearby made walks a battle of strength and wills! The trainers at SMS – in particular, Ray, the owner, Cassidy, and Kim -far exceeded our expectations in terms of their knowledge, experience and commitment to helping us handle specific situations that trigger our dog’s reactivity. They were thorough and patient in demonstrating voice commands, body language and use of the e-collar and never tired of answering our questions. Although they were firm task masters, they showed great affection for all the dogs in their care. After just 3 weeks of training class and at-home repetition, we noticed a marked improvement in our dog’s response to commands and walking on the leash. To continue working on our dog’s hyper-excitability in settings with other dogs, we will be joining the group classes. We would highly recommend SMS to any dog owners who want to improve their dog’s behavior or to restore a sense of control to their relationship with their dog. Our dog has learned a great deal in his time with SMS and now understands that discipline and love go together! Thank you so much, Ray, Cassidy and Kim! We look forward to seeing you in group classes!!

We took our 5 year old rescue Arya to Sit Means Sit and we cannot say enough good things about her progress! Cassidy, one of there trainers, helped us every step of the way and was so informative and hands-on. We cannot stress enough how happy we are that we made the decision to enroll her with SMS. Absolutely 100% would recommend your program to anyone!! Thank you all so much.

We had signed up to train our Chocolate Lab, Bo. He showed progress even after his first day. He then got better and better after every day he completed his training. He is now a different dog because he actually listens and responds to our commands without hesitation. Our next door neighbor even noticed and made a comment, “is that the same dog, he is trained so well”. Our trainer Cassidy did such a great job, was very informative, and her compassion for Bo to be successful was definitely noticed. Thank you Sit Means Sit for helping us train Bo, and making him a well trained dog.

We were very impressed by the progress our pup, Ruger, made during his training! He is a 1 year old chocolate lab and is full of spunk and energy. We found that when we did training at home, he was very stubborn and difficult to motivate, but since going to Sit Means Sit, he is much more attentive and we have learned more ways to train him on our own. Kim at Sit Means Sit put so much attention and work into training Ruger and we are so grateful for her hard work! He is now able to loose-leash walk/heel (which was something I never thought he would do) and his manners have improved greatly–enough even that my husband is able to take him to work with him. With our training package, we have access to unlimited group classes. We haven’t taken advantage of these yet, but are looking forward to it!

Caitlyn F.

We brought my reactive German Shepherd to work on obedience and her reactivity. While her reactivity is not “cured”, it is severely diminished. We are constantly working on this with her and have seen more improvement in the 3 weeks of going to one on one training at Sit Means Sit. Today was our evaluation for group classes. The trainer brought in another dog and my girl, who usually lunges, barks, and raises hackles, looked at the dog than back at me. She went right up to the trainer to greet, tail wagging. These are just two of the major improvements we have seen. She is excited to put her collar on in the morning and work on commands. She heels almost perfectly and walks are no longer a struggle. I have also noticed a closer bond with my dog. She follows me everywhere and usually in a heel with no command given. Would recommend this training class to anyone and everyone. We still have work to do, but Sit Means Sit has given me not only the confidence to do it, but the skills required to give my girl her confidence as well.

My husband and I brought our 2 1/2 year old pitbull Tyson to Sit Means Sit. Tyson has the greatest personality and loves all dogs and people but his leash pulling and excited jumping have always been an issue. When we went in to our consultation with Ray, I was embarrassed how misbehaved Tyson was being with pulling and general excitement that he would not sit still for one second. Ray assured us that after training, we would see totally different behavior from Tyson. After 3 full days of training and doing our homework with Tyson, all I can say is ………. WOW!!!!!! We not only have the most loving dog in the world, now he actually LISTENS to commands and can walk on a leash without dragging us. We now enjoy our walks with him and no longer have anxiety when we have company because he doesn’t jump or react like he used to from excitement. The team at Sit Means Sit is amazing and extremely knowledgeable. We honestly cannot thank them enough for how they worked with Tyson. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
Andrea C.

Ray is truly a dog whisperer! After our first visit our dog was a completely different dog. We didn’t think she would be this well trained within 3 visits. Lola loves Ray and you can tell they are really passionate about training the dogs. Any questions we have they are always their to answer. We highly recommend going here you will not be disappointed!

Kevin G.

I had a very aggressive and anxious dog Luna. She didn’t like people, dogs, cars or anything at that. Sit means sit was our last resort and Ray and his staff saved Luna. The progress made from training was something I’ve never seen before. Highly recommended for anyone needing their dog trained.

Valquan R.

I did a board and train here and the experience I had was the best! Everyone is very professional and knowledgeable! Excellent training! I would recommend them to anyone!

Ivonne M.

Best thing I ever did was to send my dog here to board and train! I am so satisfied with their service I am taking my other dog as well! The experience was excellent. The staff is great and The training is 5 star!

Alain D.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Sit Means Sit! I have noticed fantastic results with my puppy in such a short period of time. Their service is exceptional and they truly know what they’re doing! I would highly recommend!

Samone S.

Ray Medina was the best trainer I have ever worked with. I was able to see a big difference with only a couple trainings. He really understood the needs of Koda.

Cassandra N.

Ray and sit means sit are one of, if not the best, trainers around. He is clear and consistent on all of his training and makes sure the client is proficient with the training being performed. Ray has the energy and stamina of several young men with the knowledge of an army and puts all of his effort into the dog in front of him and tailors the training to the individual dog. The training given to the clients and dogs is top notch and invaluable

Andrew G.

Sit Means Sit Dog Training company is a complete life saver. They really helped my really rambunctious Great Dane. They worked with him for a few weeks, and Jackson is now able to follow commands (sit, stay, etc), walk leashed beside me during our walks, and stay off the counter while I cook. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs help with their dog like me or if you simply need instruction on how to train your dog.

My husband and I adopted from ACCT fully aware that we would be taking on some behavioral issues that would need working on. We were not prepared for how disengaged, hyper, and difficult our dog would be a week into her adoption. After both of us were bit by her (broken skin and bruising) and attacking a neighborhood dog, we came to the conclusion that we would have to return her to ACCT. This would have been her third time being returned, and we knew that taking her back would have sealed her fate 🙁 . As a last ditch effort, we decided to give Sit Means Sit a try and we are all so thankful we did. We went for a consultation to see if there was any hope for our dog. They made us feel like we could work through her behavioral issues and that she wasn’t a lost cause. After just two full training days and three weeks of my husband and me using the lessons they taught us, we have a completely different relationship with our dog. If you had told us a month ago that she would simply acknowledge us on command, we wouldn’t have believed it. Not only does she focus on us, she runs through all of her commands (just about) flawlessly. Sal, Dom, and Alexa are WONDERFUL. They saved us and our dog and we are forever thankful for their work. We cannot recommend Sit Means Sit enough. Please, if you are feeling like you (and your pooch!) are at the end of your rope, call these guys! They are miracle workers!

Julia R.

“Everyone there was friendly and knowledgeable on how to train our dog Diego and us. They made it simple enough that our 10-year-old was able to control Diego when needed on the first day. The best thing about Sit Means Sit is that our family can enjoy Diego all the time.”

“Sit Means Sit did a 5-star job with my dog! Would definitely recommend!”

Haley Dog Training TestimonialSal is an exceptional dog trainer who is truly passionate about helping you and your pet! He goes above and beyond to make sure that you gain full control and focus from your four legged friend.

We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Sal and would never hesitate to call him again if we need further assistance. 11/10 recommend Sit Means Sit New Jersey!

“Today was our last of 3 days, daycare training, and I can’t speak highly enough of Dominic, Sav, and the rest of the staff at Sit Means Sit. We have a 13-month-old Cocker Spaniel and a 10-month-old Labradoodle who were both out of control – aggression, leash pulling, jumping, not listening, and constantly under our feet, to name a few issues. I feel like I have two different dogs now; life is much less stressful both around the house as well as being out for walks. I look forward to our home visits as well as group training to help further their training. This was money well spent.”

Glenda M.

Benji and Pip have completed their 3 days of private training and are doing really well. They are walking very nicely, and keeping to a heel. We are managing to pass other dogs without the usual lunging and tugging, and hopefully I will have them doing this off leash soon. Also have a very good understanding of place, and am continuing to lengthen their time in place. This is great, since it is the only way I have been able to stop them barking at every single sound outside the house. The dogs obviously have both enjoyed the training and the trainers. Thanks Sit Means Sit!!

Elizabeth N.

“Sal and crew do an amazing job. Ellie (my dog) had some behavioral issues, and I saw huge improvements after even spending one day with Sal. As with anything, you need to be dedicated to improving your dog on your own time as well, but Sit Means Sit does a tremendous job in helping to improve a dog’s attitude. I was very impressed with their team and their dedication to seeing you succeed. A+ job.”

Colin C.

“My dog is very high anxiety, and with only five days of training, he follows commands, doesn’t pull when on his leash, and has come out of training more relaxed and keeps amazing me more and more with each day since the training. Don’t hesitate to have the Sit Means Sit team help you with any of your dog’s needs, it has been almost night and day with my dog since training and only getting better. Thank You”

Chris S.

Sit Means Sit was fantastic! 5-stars!

Salvatore and his team at Sit Means Sit (SMS) Dog Training are instrumental in our family’s life. They helped us ensure our dog, Remi, got off on the right paw and continue to work with us as needed. Several months ago, we did a consultation with Sal and were so impressed by his dog, Stella’s demo. We immmediately knew SMS was who we wanted to partner with for our dog. We started puppy lessons to work on Remi’s confidence as she was a bit timid with getting her during the pandemic. Remi did the three day training program, and is great at heel, sit, place, recall, etc. We are so pleased about Remi’s demeanor with us and other creatures. Many thanks to Salvatore, Alexa, and Dominic at Sit Means Sit Dog Training Philadelphia!
