Testimonials

The Sit Means Sit training methods work. My dog graduated from a different SMS location and when we moved were blessed to be able to continue his training in Conroe. Aaron is an excellent trainer. He is patient, kind, compassionate, and accommodating. If you want a well trained dog and a good relationship with your pup, this is the place to go. I couldn’t be happier!

Aaron and his ability to train my dog (and me. 🙂 ) has been a great experience. Looking forward to the next level of training and the ability to enjoy having a well mannered dog.

I have an Aussiedoodle and she is real active and very loving. Very protective as well but almost to a fault. I looked for a trainer and came across Aaron with Sit means Sit North Houston. She did the 11 day training. It is amazing how well she responded and how well she is still doing. We are very happy with the results and now have a lifetime of training if we need or want. Aaron is very good with the dogs and was good with us as well transitioning.

Aaron has done an amazing job with our pups! Their manners and focus have improved so much since we began training. They walk better on the leash, sit and wait until we release them, and don’t jump on people anymore. He’s not only taught our dogs a ton, but we’ve also learned so much about how to communicate with them best. We enjoy our time with our dogs even more now that Aaron has helped us fix some of their small but frustrating issues. We really appreciate the fact that Aaron truly cares about how they progress in the long-term and will continue to do the lifetime training as well.

Our puppy board & trained for a week with Sit Means Sit Dog Training – North Houston and we are blown away with the results!!! At home it has been so great having a puppy with impulse control and manners. I can’t say enough great things about Aaron and his team. He is always available to answer any questions I have in a very timely fashion. They are attentive and make sure every question is answered before the meetings are over. It has been an ongoing rewarding experience. They have a highly professional staff with a lot of skill at a wonderful, clean facility.

Aaron is a fantastic trainer. We signed up with sit means sit primarily because we couldn’t take Rou (my mastiff) on walks without a pinch collar and even then, she would pull like crazy. We were concerned that I was the only one that could take her on a walk because no one could control her. The FIRST DAY they had Rou, Aaron sent me a video of Rou on a walk and his two year old daughter walking Rou with no issues. We are now able to enjoy walks and my 1 and 3 year olds love to walk her. When we get our next dog, Sit Means Sit is the only place I will consider. We now board Rou here when we go out of town. She gets a refresh on training and I know she isn’t couped up in a small room all week like other boarding facilities I’ve looked at. I can’t recommend them enough.

Sit Means Sit is INCREDIBLE. My dog, a rescue about 2 years old, had previously gone through training without results. After a few days with this program and weekly training appointments, his behavior has improved tremendously and now we can socialize safely. This group is considerate, flexible, and willing to go the extra mile for successful training of the dogs. They genuinely care about the results and the families of the dogs trained. I have the greatest appreciation for all Sit Means Sit North Houston has done for me and dog!

Really professional awesome training. Free consultation where you will meet with a trainer and they will put your dog through a little bit of training to see where they are at. Very patient and will also come to your house if need be! If you want your dog to have basic training, or want to deal with aggression issues this is the place to go! I wanted to sign my dogs up for 6 day boarding and training, the trainer recommended I go with the cheaper, in person training package. They love dogs and want to get you and your furry friend the best results. They really know what they are doing and you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been working with Aaron for about two months and we are very impressed. This is the second “Sit Means Sit” trainer we have worked with (our last dog) so we were already big fans of the system / method. Aaron is super patient with our two dogs and we have really seen results. More than anything else, we feel we are getting real value for our money.

I hardly know where to begin. My dog is an 11 year old Morkie with a mostly Yorkie personality, named Hamilton (Hami). I have always had Golden Retrievers and thought I knew how to train a dog. Not this time. Hami has never really been 100% trained. And some of the behavioral problems have gotten much worse as he had gotten older … ‘accidents’ in the house, excessive barking, inability to be with other dogs, an extreme connection to my oldest son that manifested in aggression with others … and my patience was wearing thin.

I was feeling desperate and slightly hopeless. Can you modify the behavior of an 11 year old dog? I have had enough dogs to understand when Aaron started to explain to us the root of some of Hami’s bad behavior was rooted in OUR behavior, I was not surprised. Aaron immediately seemed to understand that Ham felt like he needed to manage things which was manifesting in ways that were really difficult to live with. Once Ham was unburdened with that job, he became a happier more relaxed dog and the behaviors that had been driving us crazy went away.

The best part of all this was Aaron’s response when we had a setback. My oldest son had returned from college and the bad behavior returned. It really was rooted in my son’s return to old habits. Aaron took Hamilton for 4 days, worked with him and reminded him of the lessons. When Hamilton return home, my son was committed to making sure his own behavior changed too. It’s been transformative. Aaron has been responsive when I have had questions, and has been more than willing to jump back in when we were struggling. I can’t express how thankful I am. It’s been a relief to me, to my family, and really to Hamilton, too. This was worth every dime, and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

We contacted Aaron when our Golden Retriever was approximately 4 mos. old. We were at our wits end with biting and not listening. On the night of our consult, Aaron was able to make our defiant little puppy listen and obey within minutes. Aaron was able to schedule appointments according to our work schedule. It was so convenient having lessons at our house in our environment. It was also very helpful that we learned the lessons so that we could continue the training. Satchmo loves Aaron!! I would recommend Aaron and the Sit Means Sit dog training to anyone that wants a well trained dog. Thank you Aaron for training Satchmo!! Karl & Helen Brindell

I have three dogs and three teenage children and a toddler living under one roof, saying it’s crazy at times is an understatement! We love our pups, but they were just too much for me to wrangle along with all the children. We attempted the DIY training, but it just wasn’t what we truly needed. The older kids just were being assertive enough to get the dogs to listen, 2 of our pups are very stubborn! I did some research on training courses and techniques used and came across Sit Means Sit. Aaron came out and met with my husband and I and listened to all of our struggles as well as our hopes of what we want from our pups in order to be included in family outings and more enjoyable for the children. He worked with our 2 trouble pups for about 15 min each and we could see this program was going to work! We all came on board to make the commitment to be trained and to train our dogs. We all learned how to be great dog owners and how to help our pups be a valuable part of the family. Our 3 year old can give our dogs commands and they listen with no problems! I cannot recommend Aaron and this program enough! It has changed our lives!

Aaron worked helped get my family through the puppy stages of my Doberman and even let my Boxer tag a long for some training as well. I can take my dogs off-leash anywhere without any worries. I recommend Sit Means Sit.

There aren’t enough wonderful things that my husband and I can say about Sit Means Sit Dog Training – North Tomball!!! Aaron has completely transformed our pup, for the better of course! Beau listens to us, acts so well around people, can be off-leash, and still do what is asked of him (something we never thought possible), and so, so much more. Not only do they offer affordable pricing and excellent hands-on training, but it is super engaging and fun for us dog owners too! We HIGHLY recommend you give Aaron your trust to work with your pup. It was the best decision we could’ve ever made!

Aaron at Sit Means Sit of North Houston is the reason our dog is who he is today. After we rescued him from near death and a life on the streets he acted aggressive towards our young daughter. We hired Aaron as our last resort to replace this behavior. Not only did Aaron replace this behavior, but he taught our dog how to be a confident, loving member of our family. I know that we (including our dog) are thankful for all Aaron taught us

Last July we rescued Blue, a pitbull who was in very bad shape. It was obvious he’d been living on the streets for a long time. He was severely malnourished, aggressive at times with our other dog, and needed serious training. We honestly didn’t feel like he was even trainable and considered giving him up so many times.

I desperately called many dog trainers and facilities and got very little responses, if you can imagine that I live in the greater Houston area. The trainers I spoke with were either not interested or had a long waiting list or were unaffordable. Feeling frustrated and sad about the thought of giving Blue up, I knew this was a hopeless effort on my part. I eventually noticed an ad for Sit Means Sit online and it looked too good to be true. When I saw that it had been featured on the Today Show, among others, I decided to give them a call. What the heck, right! I figured it would lead to nowhere but to my surprise it was the best call I’d made!

When Aaron answered he was so friendly and understanding. He listened to everything I had to say about Blue for a good while, which was huge. Sit Means Sit can take an impossible situation with your pets and turn them completely around. They trained us on how to train Blue giving him structure and routines. This guy is living his best life and not going anywhere!

Signed up with them because my dog, Rou, would always counter surf and eat whatever was on the counter as soon as we turned out backs. It was a constant battle. We also always had to have Rou on a pinch collar because she would never stop pulling on the leash for walks. In just a few training sessions, there has been such an extreme change in Rou. She hasn’t even tried to get on the counter. She has transformed from our least behaved stubborn mastiff, to our most behaved dog. The training seems expensive at first, but it TOTALLY WORTH IT! We have since decided to have them train our second dog. Would recommend to anyone needing training for their dog(s).

“Sit Means Sit has changed my out of control lab, Zoey, into a well-behaved dog. She pulled on a leash so badly that I couldn’t even take her for walks. After only one week, she was heeling off leash and right by my side. It was amazing! Now I enjoy hikes, walks, and other outings with her. I truly believe that Sit Means Sit can train any dog.”

“The Sit Means Sit program enabled me to take my two dogs Gaea and Dayzee on mountain hikes without worrying about them chasing wildlife. It’s great to hike with my dogs and not worry about spooking the wildlife, thank you!”

“I am so pleased and impressed with Sit Means Sit in general. My Aussie puppy did a three week board-and-train since my work schedule limited my ability to go to group classes. They were very understanding and did an excellent job of explaining every aspect of their training methods, their e-collar, and were very open to questions. I met with a number of different trainers and every single one was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable.

The difference in my puppy is incredible. She listens (the collar really helps), she doesn’t bite me as I walk by, and she doesn’t bark for attention. For the go-home lessons, the trainers I met with were very patient with me as I learned how to work with her, explained the e-collar and its use in detail, and gave me pointers on how to work with specific challenges I was having. Excellent service, very pleased with the results, money well spent. Sit Means Sit is my go-to for dog training because of their quality work and friendly staff.”

“We took our two pitbulls to Sit Means Sit for training. Sit Means Sit did a wonderful job training our dogs. Kileaux was always easily distracted and Nikita was a rambunctious puppy. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching us how to work with our dogs on continued training.

It is hard to find companies that will work with pitbull puppies, let alone full grown 115+ lb pitbulls. However, Sit Means Sit never failed to make my dogs feel loved and welcomed – which was an added bonus to the amazing quality of training we received. I will absolutely be referring Sit Means Sit to friends and family!”

“Sit Means Sit’s training program has seriously been one of the best investments I have ever made. I picked my dog, Biggie, up last week and the changes in her behavior and previous aggression have been unbelievable! She’s a better listener, less territorial, and just an all around better behaved and happier dog!

My dog has been able to get off of her very strong anti-anxiety medication and live a better life because of the trainers at Sit Means Sit. Her quality of life, as well as mine and that of my family’s is infinitely better and for that I will be forever grateful!

Thank you Sit Means Sit for changing Biggie’s life! She looks forward to more group training and I will recommend y’all to everyone I know!”
