What our customers had to say about their experience with Sit Means Sit.

We took in our 6 month old Red Merle Australian Shepherd for 20 days because we needed A LOT of help! We know Red is a star with so much potential but just didn’t have the time to get him started and Ryan did a phenomenal job from our initial consultation through the end of the program. You can tell by the videos and pictures that he has a passion for the love and care he takes on each lesson. We felt Red was safe and well cared for by Ryan and all the staff that runs Sit Means Sit. As someone mentioned in a review, it really does involve you continuing the education for your dog and the bond you can continue to build from the training Ryan so lovingly provides.
Since we saw Red did so well, we have a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog that is already a star but has some bad habits. We enrolled her in the 10 day program since she is ahead in some obedience training but is a rescue so she has some habits to remediate that we feel Ryan and Team can help with so we can live a more meaningful life with our dogs’ level of potential.
Thank you Ryan for all you did for Red. He’s still a puppy but he’s SOOO much better now.

We enrolled our 10 month old and 4 year old Australian & German Shepherds to the 10-Day Board and Train. We had the pleasure of having Ryan as our primary trainer for our pup and she returned to us a changed dog. The pros to Sit Means Sit are endless to list but I’ll add a few below:
– Gave us a mode of communication with our dogs that allow us to be better parents and for them to understand how to handle new environments.
– Has a team that will take on challenges with confidence regardless of age, breed, or quirks. This was especially realized with our 4 year old German shepherd who is reactive and has high anxiety.
– Effective communication and customer service. Ryan was great with update videos and messages about our pups progress and has been a great help post board and train. Ryan is truly an asset to the team and we’re really lucky to have had him for our puppy.
– Effective Follow-Up. Unlike most board and train programs, Sit Means Sit ensures that as owners we have the tools for continued learning and progression with our dogs. From the personal training lessons to the group classes, their team ensures we get the full experience out of the training. They’re really cheerleaders for our success.
Post board and train ~ approximately 1 month after ~ our puppy no longer — (1) pulls on the leash, (2) is reactive to other dogs, (3) is comfortable in new environments where previously she would be going crazy, (4) is more obedient at home and will listen to our direction, (5) doesn’t jump out of the car the moment we stop, etc..
Just know, when enrolling your dog to this program, you are also taking on the workload of learning these new methods in order to ensure you remain consistent with your dogs once their home. That has been the biggest adjustment for us, so just be ready! It’ll be like you’re back in school and is definitely a brain exercise for both you and your pup. But the results are definitely worth it!

I have a high energy German shepherd puppy that I needed help training. After extensive research, I decided to bring her to sit means sit. The whole staff is great. You can tell they love what they do. Chris was the one in charge of training my puppy. He did a great job with her. He sent me videos of the progress every other day! I brought her home today and I can already see awesome results. I definitely recommend this program

We took our 4-year-old Athena (pitbull mix) to Sit Means Sit. Before attending the 10-day boarding Athena was super reactive to other dogs and had a hard time walking on a leash, staying focused, and completing commands. Athena finished her boarding in Early December and we have seen a great improvement. She is way better around other dogs and on walks. She is improving in following commands and walking on a leash. She’s been doing great in our one-on-one training and moving on to groups soon! The staff have been amazing. Super nice, patient, and super accommodating. Each time we’ve visited the facility Athena remembers the staff and gets excited to see them. Overall a great experience so far and we can’t wait to continue training with Sit Means Sit.

They did a great job with Micky. He was able to be trained quickly and they were so great about updating me on his progress. The training was harder for me not having my little guy home. He was so happy when he was dropped off. I highly recommend Sit means Sit. Chris did a great job training my puppy!

Basically, my dog who is three years old is a very well mannered good dog with very few bad habits. With that said, she is so interested in what’s under the next bush that she ends up pulling me down the street every time I take her for a walk. She also is a flight risk. if she gets out of our house without a leash she takes off and it’s only been through people helping to catch her when they saw her coming that eliminated the risk of a car accident on the road. My daughter recommended this company after their dog had gone through training. When the trainer brought her home to me he stayed and walked my dog and I through her training and then had me walk her through what she had learned… amazing!
This investment of finances and time was a wise choice on my part … I finally have the dog I’ve always wanted and it’s only through her training that this was possible. P Pilmanis

Amazing job from Chris! I could see the how much he learned from Day 1 and there’s a great follow up to keep on improving. They also took very good care of him during the boarding!

I was so pleased with the training here. The trainers were all so attentive and explained everything so well. Chris especially took the time to teach me everything to set my dog and myself up for success upon going home. And the training doesn’t stop after the initial session, training continues and they also come to your house! Very pleased with the attentiveness and responsiveness of this business and the trainers. Chris really knew his stuff and had so much helpful advice!

We could not thank Chris enough for the care and confidence he gave our little Butters (7 month old goldendoodle)! We signed up for their board & train program & it was worth the investment. Before boarding, Butters was pulling on his leash, jumping, barking at other dogs, had separation anxiety, etc. Even after just 4 days of being home, there’s already such a positive difference in his behavior and confidence! Thank you again to Chris and everyone at Sit Means Sit! You all made it worth it!

I brought my 5 month old bernedoodle to Sit Means Sit because she was absolutely uncontrollable (jumping, biting, etc.). To be honest, I thought at the time that she was “untrainable”. When I got her back 21 days later, I couldn’t believe this was the same dog. She now obeys all commands and walks off-leash with me in my neighborhood. She no longer bites or jumps. The trainers regularly sent me videos of her training sessions while she was with them. When they brought her back, they taught me how to implement the training techniques my dog learned while she boarded there.
I am beyond pleased with Sit Means Sit and I recommend them to every dog owner I know who is interested in training for their pet.
