For many restaurants and food processing plants and manufacturers, food gets thrown out all the time and in very high volume. However, a new trend of food upcycling is offering companies an opportunity to do something with that food.
Instead of throwing the food out, it is now being upcycled into pet treats and dog food, so your pet gets yummy, high-quality food while helping out the environment!

A new app, Zerofy, is making it easier for you to track your own carbon emissions by tracking your energy use, monitoring your movements, and syncing up with your credit card to tally the carbon footprint of your purchases. From the data it receives, the app will offer you suggestions that can help you reduce your footprint.
This means the app could give you suggestions for parks closer to home for you and Fido to walk to instead of having to drive or giving you suggestions on ways to reduce your carbon footprint in other aspects of your life so you and your pet can live a more eco-friendly lifestyle!
