If you and your furry companion have graduated from our other dog training programs (Puppy classes, potty training, day training, private sessions, or board and train) then the next training goal for your family is to sign up for group classes! This is a great opportunity for teams to learn more advanced obedience training, and socialization while improving basic obedience training in more distracting environments.

Another Orlando dog training company might support pet owners through puppy training, teaching basic commands, and private training. However, there is little support after they have completed basic obedience and beginning classes. We understand the commitment to maintain a dog’s behavior and have a well-behaved companion. Group classes are a great opportunity for polishing up behaviors and for pet owners hoping to move on to more specialized training like therapy dog or service dog training.

Our excellent trainers have created a better group training model that will be perfect to handle your dog’s unique training needs. We take the basic commands learned and add advanced obedience and social skills so your dog effectively listens in any situation. Our dog trainers teach pets and their families new skills, and fun tricks, to make friends, all while improving relationships and communication.

Why This is Different Than Other Training Programs

So often, other dog trainers are so focused on keeping a neutral training environment and they fail to properly teach socialization, plus other important life lessons. We understand that your dog has to be well behaved in real-life situations too, not just in a training facility with no distractions.

Whether you have a new puppy or a dog struggling with training challenges like anxiety or aggression, our goal is for clients to be prepared for the real world. At Sit Means Sit, we believe that training requires a foundation built on the basics: obedience, wonderful communication, and positive confidence, and it is our job to be on the same page, and there with you every step of the way.

Dog owners who join our group classes learn to expect a high level of passion and expertise from our professional trainers. We make sure to provide safe distractions to help condition your pup not to fear or react to other dogs or new people, and instead focus on their doggy parent. These classes are taught in a pet-friendly outdoor area, where there are plenty of critters, strangers, and new dogs. Your dog will learn to keep their good manners regardless of what is happening, and our dog trainers will help problem-solve your dog’s form. The end goal is perfect recall when your dog is off-leash at the dog park, beach, hiking trails, or in your yard at night!

Our trainers curate an environment where pet parents feel safe training their dogs. We give you the knowledge to be in control of your dog and take the lead. As the one training your dog directly, you will develop a relationship based on trust, something you will be able to build on for the rest of your furry companion’s life. Don’t miss a single one of the classes, as many clients can tell a difference from the first week!

One of the fun things we do in class is to teach our students tricks with their dogs. This is a fun way to connect with your pup, while also burning off excess energy. We build off of the basic obedience your pup has already mastered and give you more ways to positively work with them. Sometimes we go back and practice the basics, but this is only done as a positive way to improve their confidence and refresh their obedience training. Not every bad habit needs private training. If your pup starts backtracking on jumping, anxiety, or being uncomfortable during grooming sessions, then you might consider simply joining us for group classes to help refresh those good behaviors you are expecting. Our wonderful trainers will assess your canine’s training situation and give you the best advice to address their issues and go forward with working on those good skills.

New To Sit Means Sit

We only offer group classes to those clients at Sit Means Sit who are ready to pass or are complete with their current classes. We want to make sure you and your dog will be safe from unruly behavior or aggression and be able to grow properly as a team. As a community, we work to learn and grow together. Many people find themselves making new friends for both their dogs and themselves. We have had many students tell us that group classes are the most important part of their training experience.

Our company is proud that our dog trainers have the expertise to handle all dogs, no matter their behavioral issues or background. Whether you have a Chihuahua, doodle, Labrador, new puppy, or rescue from the animal shelter, our training staff has the expertise to turn your rambunctious pup into a well-behaved family member.

Dog parents interested in more advanced training, like therapy dogs or service dog training, will be thrilled to know that we are associated with the American Kennel Club. This means we can assess for the Canine Good Citizen award, the first step towards many higher-level training titles and certifications. research
