If you’re hesitant about this company, take the leap!!! I was so scared to leave my dog for training, but when I got him back he was so well behaved and properly trained. They care about your pups and will send you pictures throughout the stay. My golden retriever was decently trained, but wasn’t where we wanted him to be. We are so happy we made the decision to go with sit means sit.

To make a long, emotional story short, my dog’s and my life has been saved by Sit Means Sit. I have a very reactive dog toward people and other dogs and I’m sure he would have been put down by now if it were not for this training program and its people. I am now able to do things I never thought were possible. I can take my dog to bars, parks and have people in my home. I can’t thank Sit Means Sit enough. ♥️

We took our hound mix, Betty, to Sit Means Sit. First, we did the board and train, and now we go back for lessons. The whole experience has been phenomenal. The communication has always been very prompt and professional. The trainers are top notch. They LOVE the dogs they train like they love their own dogs. They get to know the owners and dogs and it just feels very personalized and welcoming. My dog went from a good hearted wild woman to this amazing dog who lets my 4 year old walk her, calmly sits at restaurants, can be trusted off her leash, and stays out of the kitchen while we eat dinner. It’s one of the best investments I’ve made.

I could not be happier with the training that has been provided thus far. I opted in for the ultimate package which included 3 one on one classes followed by 6 months of group classes. I also did 4 weeks of puppy training to learn some fundamentals. My dog is now 26 weeks and just graduated from the one on one classes and is ready to begin group training. Our trainer Michelle is absolutely amazingly. She makes learning fun for both me and my pup she also promptly calls me back when I have questions or concerns in between classes. I know my pup is going to be a well trained and obedient dog when he’s grown thanks to Michelle and the trainers here. If you’re on the fence, I HIGHLY recommend you take the leap. Having a well behaved dog is PRICELESS!

Sit Means Sit is a wonderful Dog Training Program. As we are currently enrolled in classes, I have really enjoyed learning so many ways of training my dog. Brian Pepper, Sit Means Sit’s Training Consultant, helped us find the right program for our puppy Deku. We are expecting a baby soon and he took that into consideration to put us in the right program. He also made us feel very comfortable with the methods of training. The private lessons with Jillian were a great avenue to get us started with training our good boy! After those lessons and moving on to the group lessons, they have been so engaging and we love it! Thank you Sit Means Sit Team for an excellent experience! We are excited to continue our training!

My husband and I have been working with Sit means Sit for a while now with our very energetic Australian Shepard mix puppy and we have seen a large difference. The fact that we are able to call in with any problems and they get back to us within a few moments is spectacular!

I’m so amazed with the outcome of this facility. They are so hands on. So patient, so ready to answer your questions and help you through. From payments to training to buying items. They are Great! I was so nervous to bring my 4 year old energetic boxer to them, alot of places like to start young. However sit means sit worked with us and my fur baby and I’m just so excited to be able to take my dog outside and for walk without him going crazy. So nice to have guest come over and him not run all over them. So happy with this purchase.

In the short time we’ve been coming to Sit Means Sit, our golden girl Paisley has learned so much and improved her behavior leaps and bounds. She was not good on a leash and had terrible anxiety whenever in a new place, heard a loud noise, or was approached by anyone she did not know. We can now now take her for a walk without getting dragged around and into stores and social gatherings without her having panic attacks! One of our goals is to have her participate in our wedding as our flower girl and based on the improvements we’ve seen in just 3 visits I believe we will be able to accomplish this and much more!

I’m a first time dog owner and I wanted to make sure I gave him the best dog training available. After some research I found sit means sit and I am so glad I chose them! I have a 7 month old dog Argentino and they can be a bit tough to handle if not trained property. My puppy picked up the training very fast and is getting better the more we train him. It’s a life time investment!!!

I appreciate everything they do to help me help my dog be a more obedient pup. I really enjoy the group classes, especially Saturdays in the park (lots of distractions, just like at home) and it seems like I learn something new each time I go. You can really tell how much everyone that works there genuinely cares about your progress which means a great deal to me. You can even call and get help on something specific if needed!

Sit means sit has been so patient with our doodle. We see so many improvements with her behavior with just a few visits. Everyone is professional and reliable. I would highly recommend!

I am highly impressed the way Matt walked me through the Sit means Sit program. Wow I go to the store and getting so many compliments on how my Jackson is trained. This is only the beginner of a wonderful life for him and I. He is only 5 months old I am so excited to continue this journey with Sit means Sit

My corgi puppy was about 6 months old when she went to Sit Means Sit. She wasn’t wildly disobedient or have any major behavior problems. She is just stubborn, she likes to listen when she wants to… which is not often. She is not heavily motivated by treats, most programs didn’t get her buy in. She did the board and train here and now she is so much happier! She knows exactly what I want from her and she rarely gets “in trouble”, because she doesn’t act up nearly as much. She knows the expectation. She is still a fun loving puppy, we still have great play time. The difference is now, I can also bring her in public with confidence. We are still in training and she is continuing to make progress! I highly recommend Sit Means Sit

We just started taking our corgi puppy to Sit Means Sit, and we’ve seen such a difference already. The trainers are attentive, experienced, and will take the time to make sure you are comfortable with everything that’s happening. They clearly know what they are doing and I would recommend them to anyone. I can’t wait to see all of the progress that our pup makes working with them! -February 2020

Honestly from the first moment I walk into the office in Altamonte I knew this was the place for us. Their dog training has helped us in more ways than one. As a new dog owner I am happy I sought their help -March 2020

I did a lot of research to get help for my 11 month old German shepherd that I rescued, had a lot of trainers to pick from and ended up choosing SitmeansSit and I am really glad that I did, the staff and trainers are great from the moment you walk through those doors.
Brian was great with providing us all the information we needed and showing us a thing or two with our dog during the evaluation visit. We made the decision to do a board and train for 10 days and let me tell you he has been a completely different dog since especially with the obedience WOW! Still working on the anxiety but overall so much better, thank you again to all the the trainers for your hard work and patience with my pup . Looking forward to some follow up classes !! -March 2020

Sit means sit has already changed our dog’s demeanor. He was jumping and pulling us around the neighborhood. After only the first lesson we are heeling on walks and he is not jumping at all! Staff and trainers are excellent. I highly recommend this training for stubborn or out of control behaviors. Very pleased so far! -March 2020

Our dog has severe anxiety, which caused us to seek out training for him. We are several lessons in, and we’ve already started to see a difference in his confidence and obedience. We also really love the staff and their ability to teach us how to train us as the owners. They truly make an effort to understand our situation and work with us to make sure that we are working with our dog properly when we’re at home. We are excited to start group classes in the next few months and continue to see our sweet boy make progress. February 2020

The employees truly care about my dog and want to see him get better. They give constructive criticism and tell me how to improve myself. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are clean. I would, and did, recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone struggling with stubborn and defiant dogs, and even to anyone who just wants their pets to learn some new things.

Sarah S.

The staff here is so patient and kind with my baby, this is her first time in training and this process has been so much easier than I could have imagined. I had too much pride to admit she needed training and when I finally realized I needed help, the choice of trainers was easy. This facility is clean, has well taken care of equipment and has a very intelligent and caring staff. It’s obvious the people at Sit Means Sit love animals, I can’t wait to see my baby after her final lesson, I already see improvements.

I highly highly recommend Sit Means Sit to ANY and all dog owners. They are honest, professional, caring, compassionate extremely knowledgeable and most of all passionate about your fur babies living their best lives. They train us human parents 1st which is key. They teach us how to better understand our fur babies actions, reactions, signs and needs. Absolutely best decision I’ve ever made after I rescued my lab/blue mix. At 85lbs of muscle – I needed to make sure he was well trained and behaved. They are the best!!! -Ayisha and Shiloh

Our rescue dog, Cher, was out of control, destructive and impossible to collar or leash without a long struggle. I contacted Sit Means Sit because we were looking for an opportunity for boarding in conjunction with training. Matt the OWNER came to our home and described the Sit Means Sit program. He was upfront about the method used and the cost.
He showed us immediate results with Cher once we were able to get a leash on her. Matt took Cher that night, a huge relief although I was very nervous having her go to the unknown and so hopeful there would be a change in behavior.

We received text messages/photos, video and phone calls from the SMS team while Cher was in training. It is very encouraging, and the time goes by fast. Once the training was completed we went to our own Human Training, twice. The support from Sit Means Sit is one of the best features. We are very pleased with the results, Cher is like a new dog, so happy and it’s so much easier for us, now that she listens.

The support continues with group training and Cher continues to grow in her confidence. We are thankful for the help Cher received from Sit Means Sit.
If your dog needs behavioral training, this is the best investment you can make. I would recommend Sit Means Sit to any dog owner who is serious about making a change in their pet.

Since the time we adopted our dog, Titan, I really thought he was untrainable. We had attempted multiple individual dog trainers in the area and saw no results. As time went on, his behavior became more out of control…he would jump on people (in excitement), display protective-aggressive behaviors towards other dogs, and would pull so bad on the leash it made walks unenjoyable. I was very, very skeptical about how he would respond to this training program when we enrolled him in the board & train-however, I will happily admit that I was wrong about the expected outcomes. Matt & his team do an awesome job of teaching the expected behaviors/commands to both our dog & to us so that we continue to experience success with Titan’s behavior. Sit Means Sit’s training has given us back the ability to take Titan with us wherever we go without having to worry about him advancing on other dogs, jumping on strangers, or ripping our arms off by pulling the leash. It has greatly improved our relationship with Titan. I cannot express my gratitude toward Matt, his trainers & staff, and this program. You guys are the BEST!

We started going to Sit Means Sit 2.5 years ago. My two year old Cattle Dog/German Sheppard mix had dominance issues and was extremely protective. He had leash aggression so whenever he was on the leash he would lunge and growl at other people and dogs. We tried several different training methods, but nothing was working. I heard about Sit Means Sit through my vet and once I had the demo at my house with the trainers dog I was sold. The entire staff are so knowledgeable about dogs and are really strict on how they should act, which I really like. We have been going to group classes on and off for 2.5 years. This year a new issue arose so we went back to training and it just took a few classes and working with him with the collar at home to get him right back where we wanted him. You don’t realize how untrained your dog is until you finally have complete control over them in any situation. If you are considering doing any training at all with your dog, wait until you can do it with Sit Means Sit it will be 100% worth it.

I adopted a 3 1/2 year old Shepard mix from the pound 3 months ago. After a month of warming up to me, he was comfortable. He began showing his dominant personality and gave me huge challenges. Since joining Sit Mean Sit, I am able to take my dog on walks without dragging behind him and developed an awareness of not only my dog, but also my surroundings. We are still working on some of the behavioral challenges, but the Sit Mean Sit Team has shown us that nothing is impossible with practice and time. We tried a few other training methods before Sit Means Sit and nothing compared to this progress. The team is very friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. I have been especially thankful to the head trainer Ryan for showing a high level of compassion to not only my dog, but all the other dogs in group class. Matt and Ryan came to my house for a lesson and they taught me how to better handle some of the at home situations we were struggling with. Matt’s knowledge of dogs and how to train is truly amazing. I would recommend this program to everyone. It is worth every penny!

Sit Means Sit is AMAZING! I first contacted them two years ago to help with my 5 year old dog, Loki. He had been exhibiting some very aggressive behavior due to some changes in our home. I opted to do the board and train and the results were fantastic. I got updates of his progress while he was gone and when he returned home, the Sit Means Sit trainer came to our home to teach all of our family members the things Loki learned and how to work with him. He was like a new dog – attentive, confident and trusting. I had such success with Loki that when I recently brought our new puppy home I started her in the Sit Means Sit puppy class. The support and information that have provided has been very helpful. The entire staff is SO friendly and responsive. Overall my experience with Sit Means Sit has been excellent for both of my dogs!

I’ve had dogs pretty much all of my life. I grew up with them, loved them, cared for them but I didn’t really know how to train them until I joined Sit Means Sit. They helped me be a better leader for my Doberman Daisy. When she struggled they helped me realize she was leash-reactive and gave me tips on how to work through it. Daisy is a typical high-energy puppy and has made some amazing progress in just a few short weeks. She was even well behaved enough at 6 months old to bring her around my 18-month old godson (she very much impressed his parents with her manners).

If you are looking for a training team that cares as much about the development and well-being of your pups as much as you do, try SMS. You won’t regret it.

Our 9 month old lab Gus Gus has already shown so much improvement with only a few weeks of training behind him. Since my husband and I are expecting in December we knew we only had a few months to get him under control. He was attacking our cat, pulling us down the street during walks, and making games out of stealing things and then running away making it almost impossible for us to catch him. After attending the 10 day board and train as well as one private lesson and an in home lesson, Gus is on his way to being a great big brother! I’m finally able to walk him alone without having fear he will pull me over, he is learning to leave our cat alone, and he is understanding basic obedience and respecting boundaries. Matt and his team really do a fantastic job, and we are very pleased with this program!

Matt and the Sit Means Sit family are wonderful! My dog, Lexi, and I are happier than ever spending quality time learning new things together. Thanks so much Sit Means Sit!!

If you are looking for fast results in obedience training and want to trust your dog off-leash, you should definitely consider Sits Means Sits-Orlando. Matt, the trainer, has always shown his passion to teach pet owners how to communicate correctly with your dog. It’s also very rewarding to see your dog running off/leash knowing that it will listen to you upon your command.

Sit means sit is one amazing company to work with! They have made a huge improvement in my familys relationship with our dog smokey. He is still young and so rowdy we were ready to just give up…. He would pull so bad on his leash…jump all over people….be overly friendly with other animals….and much more. In the 2 months we have been with sit means sit smokey has made a huge improvement! He loves his collar and loves that he has so much more freedom now! I am so glad we came across matt and this company! Life saver and if I had the chance to make this choice all over again I would do it 100% with no thought at all!

When we rescued Lily, who was misbreeded, we had no idea how to train a dog that was not food or praise motivated. I couldn’t believe it. I’m a firm believer in positive reinforcement so when my friend introduced Sit Means Sit I was beyond skeptical. The final straw came when Lily jumped out into traffic in an attempt to herd it and almost killed us both. I figured it couldn’t get any worse.

Jerry completed our initial home visit and we were sold in the few minutes that he demonstrated how the program worked. It was like he put a curse on her because she listened and seemed calm. Due to scheduling we worked with Matt. Let me tell you that he knows his stuff! As he liked to refer to me as “”the person who wants to know why”” he patiently and confidentially answered all of my questions, hesitations, and was willing to do whatever it took to help me. The program challenges us every time as a person and handler that has allowed Lily to become/becoming an obedient confident dog. I would recommend anybody who needs or wants a legitimate program with a strict regimen and is committed to doing the work in order to have a happy dog.
