Who am I
Decision making about choosing a dog trainer is a hard one. Who do I select? What do I know about them? Will they be able to help me? I wrote this blog to address those questions.
My name is Bob Burnell. Many of my clients have come to refer to me Uncle Bob as I have built close working relationships with them and their dog(s). I have over 25 years of dog training experience. I have earned multiple certifications in dog training (Animal Behavior College, No Limitations School of Remote Collar Training) and attend ongoing training seminars. I was a Police K9 handler for many years with many seminars and certifications regarding that field.
I am currently the Owner/Head Trainer for Sit Means Sit Dog Training of Palm Beach County. Sit Means Sit is the largest U.S based Dog Training Company ( http://sitmeanssit.com). I have been serving the residents of Palm Beach County for over 18 years now.
Additionally, I am A Master Instructor with Pet Tech Pet CPR and First Aid (http://pettech.net) where I teach pet parents and pet care professionals about pet first aid and prevention of accidents. I have been a volunteer Therapy Dog Handler with K9 Caring Angels for 6 years and now with Canine Assisted Therapy (http://catdogs.org)
My training philosophies
Part of the process in choosing a dog trainer is understanding and agreeing with their training philosophies. While I believe that the dog teaches me how to recognize and address their individual needs, it is important for you to understand my basic foundation of training. With this is mind, I have listed below some of the various blog posts that I have created over the years. In this way, you can get a sense of what I do and why. I believe that you will see that I am a genuine person who cares deeply for providing the best training for you and your dog.

I do offer FREE evaluations for us to get together and discuss your needs and that of your dog(s). 7 out of 10 people usually hire me on the spot, or even before I meet them (based on reputation or referral). Lets discuss how I WILL HELP YOU.
Well, this is a lot of information. This is nothing compared to the in-person instruction you will receive and the written information you will be provided.
I predominately do in-home training for dogs of all ages and dispositions. My question for you is this:
“Are you ready to affect a change in your life and that of your dog. I need your help to accomplish your goals. I will show you how, guide you as needed, and work with you- BUT, I NEED YOUR HELP so I can do my job correctly”
