My handsome dog River came to me at 8 weeks old his mother was killed and he needed me to love him, he is a Red Healer Australian Shepard . As he came closer to a year old he be came very aggressive and out control, I was frightened of what may happen around other people. I was at my wit ends , then I remembered seeing Sit Means Sit at Chili Feast here in Pueblo , the dogs they had at their booth where just amazing. I called and scheduled a consultation with Sabrina. Sabrina was truly awesome in steering us in the right directions for our dog needs. He began his training February 21st 2021. He stayed at facility for 15 days to begin his training. In those 15 days I got come to see how he was progressing , to my amazement he was changing . Mind you we still had a long way to go,,, he graduated from his 15 day course and he began beginners group class. He absolutely become a different dog. Within a year in graduated to advanced group class, he excels at lengths every class we go to. He knows when it is time to go doggie schools he does his doors manners with my say he goes to car , with his big smile on his sweet face he melts my heart, knowing I have done the right thing for him to grow into a perfect loving , obedient dog. With out the help of his trainers I could not have learned the patience myself to train my River. I want thank Sabrina, Shannon, Izzy, Liz and Willy for they do to help me to help River achieve greatness…. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit , love them all. River is now 3 years old . We still attending classes weekly , always learning something new. Thank you for everything!!!!!!!!
We adopted Ryker from a rescue in October 2021. He was in desperate need of training and socialization. We started with a different trainer that told us to return him back to the rescue.
Refusing to give up on him, we visited Sit Means Sit for an evaluation. It was amazing what they did just in the evaluation. I was sold! Ryker stayed for a 15 day board and train. He has progressed leaps and bounds from where he started!
We continue to go to the group classes and have had one at home session since he graduated in January. All of the trainers love each of the dogs. You can see it in how they interact in classes, and how the dogs respond back. We are so happy with the results!
I received my Hazel in 2020 @ 6 months old from a family who no longer wanted her after 2 weeks I was beside myself with her thought I made a mistake getting her. But I told myself you have to give her a chance then I found sit means sit. Called and got a consultation with Sabrina I put her in the 15 day training program what a difference that made in her.That was the best thing I could have done for her and myself. I can’t say enough on how awesome this place is! We go to as many classes as possible all the trainer’s are very professional and caring if you are having any kind of problems with your dog they are there to help you! Hazel knows where she is going when we get close! She loves going to daycare also! It has everything thing from daycare to grooming! I took my last dog in for training there. I didn’t realize how good a job they’d done until I got my new puppy and got to compare. I signed the puppy up today. It’s worth every penny.
We got our border collie as a pup just before Covid struck, and with us being elderly, he did not get the socializing he needed. We decided to take him for training and, hopefully, at the same time, socializing.
The staff, especially Izabella and Sabrina, not only provided excellent training but also went the extra mile to help with his socializing. Not only is he behaved, but he is also now a much more relaxed and at ease dog. Many thanks for the transformation, which helped immensely during his relocation to Scotland.

Our pitbull was a wreck. Couldn’t take him in public or other dogs! Sit Means Sit has given us the relationship we wanted with our furry friend! They taught our pup and us! No better or more effective dog training place around!
Our dog was a part of the day train. Sabrina was the main trainer we worked with & she is amazing. We are so thankful for the tips in how to work with our dog. We are looking forward to starting our dog in groups.
I did the top level E collar training with my Belgian Malinois. Sit Means Sit saved the day for me. I would have most likely had to find another home for my mally, but after Sit Means Sit trained him he’s been nothing but sharp and obedient. Dog boarding is great at Sit Means Sit. The facility is amazing and the staff is fantastic! I recommend Sit Means Sit to everyone! Especially this location in Pueblo!
Sit Means Sit went above and beyond to assure that our new puppy Sally was trained and behaving respectfully in just the two short weeks she spent at their facility. The staff was more than helpful in teaching myself as well as my son the correct commands to ensure that Sally’s training would transition well once we were home. While Sally was at “Puppy Camp,” the staff sent happy pictures of Sally playing and learning, which was such a relief to my son as Sally is his puppy. Sit Means Sit has also done a great job following up with Sally’s progress and are more than willing to help if we feel she is lacking in any areas. I felt like I had another toddler in my home when I first got Sally, now thanks to Sit Means Sit Sally is a joy and a welcomed member of our family!! Please don’t look anywhere else for dog training or boarding!

What Sit Means Sit, Means To Me
My dog Zeke was abandoned by the side of a highway, and for several weeks people were yelling and shooting at him as he was looking for food. My mom worked hard to win his trust by putting out food and water and talking kindly to him. She finally succeeded and he joined her household. Within a few days, there was a fight between him and her dog, and Zeke hurt the other dog. Not knowing what triggered the fight, we kept them separated as much as possible but it was clear Zeke wouldn’t be able to stay there. I was worried about the safety of the cats at my house so I didn’t bring him here right away. We tried a couple of shelters but they didn’t work out, either. My vet assured me that one fight does not mean he’s aggressive and suggested I call Sit Means Sit. I got an appointment that same day; Jori evaluated him and said she thought he would respond well to the training.
Zeke did the 20 day board-and-train program and Jori was right, he did very well. He now has manners, he knows how to behave and I take him with me everywhere I can. He no longer chews things up, he doesn’t try to escape the yard and he likes the cats! He loves going to day care where the staff understand him and he has friends (dogs and people). We go to group classes on a regular basis and he recently passed his CGC test. Zeke is able to show all his positive qualities because of Sit Means Sit and their training of him and me! I give them the credit for the happy ending this dog got.

There are two questions I have always asked about dogs. The first is, “How do you let your dogs know you love them?” Research shows that gazing into their eyes, letting them be part of family activities, and just being yourself are but a few ways to show your love for your dogs. I can definitively state that among the aforementioned ways, training should be at the top of the list.
We have taken three dogs to Sit Means Sit of Pueblo for the 20-day board and train program. Each was more successful than the first. We were blown away by the improvement in each dog. I took Trixie, a german short-haired pointer, in for training when she was only a pup. She was a quick learner, and is now a therapy dog with Caring Angels. It is a very humbling experience to watch Trixie at work when visiting at nursing homes, court procedures, and libraries. Her entire being is focused on the individuals she is there to visit.
Our third dog, Buddy, a heeler/pit mix, is the most successful story of all. We found him in an animal shelter. The staff at the shelter had almost given up hope for Buddy. He was very antisocial and dog aggressive. However, our son seen something special in Buddy’s eyes. He was brought home and introduced to the other family members. With what we were told about his history, it was a no-brainer that we get him to Sit Means Sit. After 20 days, Buddy is a very loving, loyal member of our family. His dog aggression has ceased. With understanding of Buddy and training of ourselves, we are now able to take Buddy with us to dog social events.
That leads me to the second question, “How do you know your dogs love you?” Our dogs show excitement to have the transformation which took place during their training. They are welcome in our home just as another member of the family. We include Trixie and Buddy in all family activities without the worry of uncontrolled behavior. Without the training they received at the board and train program, as well as continued group class sessions, this would not have been possible for Buddy. Both Buddy and Trixie, in their own unique ways, show us every day that the investment made in their training was well worth it.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the trainers at Sit Means Sit of Pueblo. They are all extremely knowledgeable, dedicated, kind-hearted, and always available to help our with any issue may arise with our dogs. I always tell people that I believe the training is more handler training than dog training. I believe these dogs are a lot smarter than we give them credit for.

Katie (my 8 month old golden retriever) and I entered training right after Labor Day 2018. Katie was trained for 15 days, plus a couple of private lessons, a couple of group lessons, and a trip to our house in Canon City. Your staff did an excellent job training her and i appreciate all the time and effort they put forth. Katie did very well until we started traveling to California and other places. We both got off track a bit.
I would just like to thank you and your staff for scheduling Katie and I to have a tune-up session for 3 days. This will get us both back on track. I am very impressed with your staff. They are knowledgeable, competent, and very patient especially with me. I also realize that I have to do my part for the training process to be successful. Your program was highly recommended to me, and I can vouch for that and will recommend it to others.

Sit Means Sit has changed my out of control lab, Zoey, into a well-behaved dog. She pulled on a leash so badly that I couldn’t even take her for walks. After only one week, she was heeling off leash and right by my side. It was amazing! Now I enjoy hikes, walks, and other outings with her. I truly believe that Sit Means Sit can train any dog.
Sit Means Sit’s training program has seriously been one of the best investments I have ever made. I picked my dog, Biggie, up last week and the changes in her behavior and previous aggression have been unbelievable! She’s a better listener, less territorial, and just an all around better behaved and happier dog!
My dog has been able to get off of her very strong anti-anxiety medication and live a better life because of the trainers at Sit Means Sit. Her quality of life, as well as mine and that of my family’s is infinitely better and for that I will be forever grateful!
