Not sure where to start? You’re in the right place.
At Sit Means Sit Raleigh, our free consultation is designed to be easy, pressure-free, and personalized — for you and your dog.
What happens at your consultation:
We start by listening. Tell us about your training goals and any challenges you’re facing — whether that’s basic obedience, off-leash control, leash pulling, or help with anxiety or aggression. No judgment, just a real conversation.
Then we show you. We’ll often demonstrate our training methods live, so you can see exactly how our techniques work in real situations — not just hear about them. It’s the best way to understand what results are possible for your dog.
Finally, we assess your dog’s behavior and temperament and recommend a personalized training plan that fits their personality, age, and needs.
This is a stress-free, no-obligation evaluation — a great way to explore whether training is right for you before committing to anything.

What our Raleigh clients say:
|
“SMS Raleigh was the perfect fit! Our trainer immediately got to know both mine and Winnie’s personalities and gave me the tools to be the most effective with her. I’m not sure I would have survived puppy parenthood without it!”
— Hannah V., Goldendoodle owner |
“Before Sit Means Sit, my dog could not tolerate the sight of another unknown dog and had no recall. Now Divot can focus in a room with over 20 dogs. My quality of life has improved — I can take him hiking, camping, for a stroll. I get compliments all the time about how calm and well-behaved he is.”
— Steve B., Dog reactivity client |

|
“I took my dog in with anxiety and aggressive behavior and as soon as our trainer Nadia walked in he immediately was comfortable with her. Before the private classes I couldn’t even take Oakley for a walk without being terrified. Now we happily go on successful walks.”
— Rebecca J., Anxiety & aggression client |
“Our only complaint is that we did not do it sooner!! Amazing to have the confidence to properly train our dog and have him gain more confidence!”
— Jordan M., Board & Train client |
