Our golden retriever had terrible behavior from the moment she was a puppy. She scratched, bit, barked, scratched, jumped, and couldn’t settle down to save her life. I spent hours training everyday, but as soon as she saw me with no treats, the bad behavior would start all over again.

One day I was at my wits end. I found Sit Means Sit on the web and callled them immediately. They have trained our dog and have given us lessons on what to do in certain circumstances.

We are so happy! We feel like we have a brand new dog.

I cannot say enough good things about Sit means sit dog training. One thing is every step of the way has been safety for both dogs and handlers. First and foremost, to begin we had to provide proof the had all there vaccinations done. Then we were able use the board and train with my families two dogs Ruby[Red Heeler] and Ahsoka [Rottweiler]in October. After the board and train they came back as different dogs. But in a good way.

But that is just the beginning of our journey. The second step was they came to the home a few times to verify their progress before putting the other students and handlers with our dogs to be sure they were a safe fit.
They spent a few weeks in basic Before moving them to a larger group classes.

We are going to class every week. Learning new things and getting things down. Ahsoka[Rottweiler] and Ruby [Red Heeler] used to take me for a walk. Now they don’t pull nor attack the leash. Without the guidance from Sit means sit these dogs may have ended up as unruly monsters. But when I take one of them for a walk they listen and are well behaved dogs. And particularly Ahsoka [Rottweiler] people literally walked across the street as we were coming the other direction now I get compliments on how well behaved she is and people walk up and pet her..

My son’s dog Ahsoka [Rottweiler] As well as Ruby [Red Heeler] my daughters dog are both doing very well.
The staff has been very instrumental in helping us get the commands down and the work done and being realistic about our expectations with dog training is not just graduated and done it is working with your dog and being consistent and going through even the basics.

We have had a wonderful experience. James is the best trainer, he really seemed to build a relationship with our dog and she responded so well to him, he’s been able to guide us in helping her be the best she can be.

Such an amazing experience. We were so happy with our dog coming home and have enjoyed our time with him. Sit Means Sit is easy to contact and reaches out promptly. From the first day of contact, I have felt like my dog is important to them. Thank you!

Sit means sit was the best thing to happen to us and our bully mix, Willis! We did the 8 day jump start program. Luana worked her magic with our boy. He was very leash reactive, didn’t like new people in the house, and overall stubborn! We noticed a huge difference in him before the 8 days were up. We can now walk him on a leash without any problems, we can have people over to the house without him losing his mind. We also loved our group classes! We haven’t been for awhile due to our boy having to get both ACL’s fixed – but once he’s cleared we will be back to group classes. Thanks Luana and the sit means sit team! The training improved our relationship with our dog!

Sit Means Sit is absolutely AMAZING. I never thought I would be able to have my reactive dog around other dogs and be okay with it. He’s come so far since being in the program and it just makes me so happy to see his confidence grow, along with his quality of life. I got another pup recently and am starting her lessons next week. The trainers are wonderful and super helpful. 12/10

The more we work with Sit Means Sit the more I like them. We just attended our first group class and we were blown away by how well behaved such a large group of dogs was. I would highly recommend them, and we’ll be bringing all future dogs here as well!

Remi

We started out at another dog training program, but unfortunately after spending a considerable amount of time and money we were not seeing the results we were after namely: 1) sit and stay 2) coming when we called 3) walking without pulling on the leash 4) not running out of our yard 5 ) barking at all and anyone There were others but those were the main ones at the time . Because Remington “Remi ” is a Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix we knew he was smart and we needed to drive his instincts in such a way that we could put him to ” work ” and also take him places without the fear of him running off or barking at people all the time. Within 1 group class and 1 one in 1 , he made huge improvements. We feel he made these improvements because he finally had boundaries and was able to understand the things we wanted him to do were for his safety as well his best interest . I know call me crazy, but Remi is super smart and needs “jobs ” chores if you will … He also needs to know we are in charge and he needs clear boundaries so he can succeed . “Sit means Sit” has made a huge difference! We look foward to further education of us in our goals to train Remi to be the best dog possible! We know we can go far and learn more. We love him , we love the program and we know what can be done with clear learning goals. Sit Means Sit  not only did we receive a lot of help, but our questions are answered and we are shown not just told how we can improve.

Sit Means Sit IS THE ANSWER!! We had such problem with our Coon Hound and him teaching out GSD bad and aggressive habits. Tiffany is amazing. This place really cares about your dog and the family as a whole. I will continue to use their services. I am not easily swayed, but this place really earned my respect. I totally recommend DogTown kennels/Sit Means Sit. From basic-advanced obedience, to their tricks class and CGC classes, this place is great. Tiffany is a Rock Star. Keep up the good work my friends.

Tank

Since we started using Sit means Sit we have noticed a big change in Tanks behavior. He is not as anxious anymore, he actualy is listening better. and not just for him, we are learning how to communicate with him. Tiffany is a great trainer, she  is more then willing to help and answer any questions we have had. We decided to put Tank in the canine good citizen classes. We are learning many thing’s in this class that are going to be great for our family. We look forward to utilizing other classes Sit means Sit offers.

My family and I have had our German Shepard enrolled in the Sit Means Sit training program sense February 11th 2017 and he is a completely different dog now. When we started with the program we were on the verge of re-homing him, he was out of control he couldn’t be around other dogs with out lashing out aggressively not to mention his issues with being on leash….. On the first day before the training could start they had to evaluate him so we dropped him off and come back 4 hours later and to our surprise he was out in the yard playing with the other dogs needless to say after we picked up our jaws up off the floor he was enrolled in the program and our awesome adventure began. With in the first few classes and some training for us as the handlers he is one of the best dogs we have ever owned. The staff is top notch, no question goes unanswered and they don’t make you fill like you an idiot when you do ask questions. A huge thank you goes out to Jon & Theresa (owners), to Tiffany, and Jeff (trainers) for all you have done and for all you continue to do.

My husband and I saw the owner’s truck one day with the Sit Means Sit logos, and we decided to go to the facility and take our 3 month old border collie to check it out. They don’t start training until 4 months, but we were happy to wait because after meeting John and Theresa (owners) we were very impressed with their knowledge and philosophy of dog training.

We bought a year package with 4 individual sessions, and unlimited group training. Once our puppy was 4 months, we started our first 3 individual sessions with John, then our last was with Tiffany (who leads a lot of the group training). We discovered right away how much they care, how much they are training You as well as the dog since You as the owner being consistent with the discipline is really key, and how they just want you and your pup to succeed.

The group trainings we made it to were invaluable when it came to helping our dog learn how to listen to us while there were distractions. It also helped us boost our confidence in being able to handle our dog in several different situations or with major distractions. Tiffany is excellent at leading the group training and having different challenges for the group each time.

Our border collie is now 16 months old, and is incredibly well behaved. We get compliments all the time on how well trained he is, how well he listens and how calm he is for his breed.  We know we couldn’t have done it without Sit Means Sit. Thank you!!!

Sophia, Charlie, and Bella

Sit Means Sit has done wonders with my puppies. Sophia went from pulling my arm out when walking her to strolling next to me. Jon made a huge difference and made us a “happier couple”. Then there is my “little puppy” Charlie. She went from crazy puppy behavior to obedient puppy after a 2-week board and train. Sit mean sit creates the bond that owner and dog seek. The group classes are fantastic and work not only the dog, but the people just as much. Tiffany is fun, energetic and always helps answer any questions you might have. She makes it fun. All three of my dogs love going to Sit Means Sit – DogTown to play and are tuckered out, no matter how long or short their stay was. I wouldn’t trust my fur babies to anyone else.

I just want to say, how happy I am with the training my dogs and I have received from DogTown. The owners, Jon and Teresa are so friendly, helpful and work with you on all your needs.

Tiffany the trainer that has worked with my two dogs and me, and is an outstanding trainer. She explains everything that is needed of my dogs and me.

I have also worked with Jeff another trainer, a few times in class and he is also very good.

The team at Dogtown is an outstanding team.

I would highly recommend DogTown/Sitmeanssit, to anyone who is looking to train their dogs.

Thank you Jon, Theresa, Tiffany and Jeff,  for all you have done and continue to do for Buddy,

Sit Means Sit SLC has been a life saver! Before my husky and I began training, he would run off, constantly pull on his leash, get aggressive with others dogs, and with people who tried to touch around his collar. Now he stays right by my side on and off leash, and can be around dogs and people without a problem. I love that I can take him everywhere with me without worrying about how he will behave. Thank you so much SMS!
