
San Antonio Dog Parks
Dog parks are such a fun and exciting outing for our dogs to go on. They love getting to explore new places with their favorite person- you! It is also a great way for your dog to socialize and play with other dogs, as well as get in a good workout. Here are some of our favorite dog parks in the San Antonio area that you should visit soon!
McAllister Park
Address: 13102 Jones Maltsberger Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247
If you’re looking for a park with lots to offer, McAllister Park is a great spot. The dog park is located near the Starcrest entrance and has plenty for your dog to do. The dog park is 1.5 acres of fenced land that also has exercise equipment, a picnic area, benches, and a walking trail. The hours for the park are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., every day. This park will give your dog a fun day of exercise and exploring, while your family or friends can also have fun. The park also has pavilions you can rent if you wanted to have a birthday party or other event there. Check out more info about the park on their website!
Phil Hardberger Park

The Phil Hardberger Park is the perfect place to have your dog try something new and play in a new space. This dog park has a lot of additional equipment that many other parks don’t have. There are two parks, East which is 1.8 acres, and West which is 1.5 acres. There are separate areas for large and small dogs, which gives you peace of mind for the safety of your pup. There is a unique two-story doghouse in the small dog area, which your dog can explore. In the West dog park, there is agility equipment, where your dog can practice their skills or just get some exercise in.
Tom Slick Park
Address: 7400 Texas 151 Access Rd, San Antonio, TX 78227
The Tom Slick Dog Park is another great dog park in the San Antonio area that you have to explore. This park, which is about 1 acre, also has a large dog section and a small dog section. What makes this park so great is all the amenities. There are benches and picnic tables for you to relax at and enjoy the outdoors. There are also water fountains (for both dogs and humans!) as well as a doggie shower where your pup can rise off after a day of playing. There is a second fenced in dog area on the Timber Creek entrance, which includes a pavilion and playground. No matter what your plans for the day are, you’ll have plenty to do at this park.
Madison Square Park
Address: 400 Lexington Ave, San Antonio, TX 78215
Another wonderful dog park you should give a visit is the Madison Square Park. This park features a .65-acre area that is combined for large and small dogs. There are plenty of amenities that you can enjoy, such as a special off leash area where your dog can freely fun and play. There are also benches to relax, as well as poop bags and a doggie drinking fountain. All these special additions will make your experience at the dog park even more enjoyable and fun!
