Testimonials

Sit Means Sit has been incredible so far! Jon and his staff have done a phenomenal job so far, and have helped out our 9 month old goldendoodle tremendously. We had looked into multiple training classes prior to choosing Sit Means Sit, and was the clear choice for us. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Great trainers. Dogs could not walk into the place without barking and pulling. And now they are so much better behaved. There is a lot of support!

This place is staffed with knowledgeable and experienced people who truly love dogs. They worked with my dog, taught us skills and always made themselves available. Facility is nice and clean. Very professional. Kind of pricey but you do gain alot of skills and tools to ensure a positive relationship with your dogs.

Jon and everyone at Sit Means Sit were great! I am constantly complimented on how Gus interacts with other dogs and people. Jon and his team created a tailored approach to fit Gus’ breed and abilities. I would 100% recommend this group.

Thank you Jon and crew. We get compliments all the time on how well behaved our malinois Ammo is. The training is phenomenal. Training a high energy breed like a malinois takes true talent.

Jon and his team of trainers are excellent! In only three weeks we have seen a tremendous improvement in our young dog. After months of her escaping, chewing up everything in the house, and being unruly, Sit Means Sit has changed her behavior and ours. I cannot recommend their services enough.

Jon has saved us so many times! Yzerman had failed two obedience courses before we called Jon. Thanks to Jon’s time, care, and knowledge Yzerman is the best dog. For reference, If there was a scale of stubborn dogs Yzerman was in the top 10%. Both my husband and I have owned several dogs in our lives without issue, but Yzerman was a doozie. Thanks to Jon, he is the sweetest dog ever. So well behaved. We took Yzerman’s sister Lidstrom to Jon immediately after getting her and she’s been perfect! We get compliments when we walk the dogs in the park about how well behaved the dogs are. I would highly recommend Jon with sit means sit. I have no regrets and will use Jon for our next dog.

Jon is a phenomenal dog and human trainer. We came to him with a rescued 3 year old Shiba Inu, Marlowe, extremely shut down and distrustful, seemingly not trainable, timid yet aggressive with other dogs, children and adults. This breed is typically highly anxious, and our dog had such overpowering anxiety he couldn’t even be taken for walks. The very first day Jon met this dog, there was an instant bond and mastery Jon demonstrated. His understanding and affinity with dogs is outstanding.

We’ve been around dogs our entire lives, and have never seen Jon’s ability to discern an animal’s temperament and know exactly what it needs. His mastery and talent have transformed our dog, and most definitely saved its life. Jon’s skills reflect a passion for care and unmatched results in changing our dog to one now able to happily connect with life, enjoy daily walks, and be affectionate and obedient. Jon is superb at training us human clients as well, totally committed to satisfaction and what’s best for our dog.

Marlowe’s tremendous progress is from Jon’s training mastery, including the techniques he shared with us to ensure Marlowe’s continuing progress. We can’t say enough about Jon’s unique gift.

Knowledgeable and competent dog training. John is great to work with and is honest to a fault about expectations with difficult breeds. He won’t BS you about what he can and can’t do for you and your dog.

I wish I could give Sit Means Sit South Denver and Jon Langdon more stars! What they did with my hyper, boxer mix was amazing. She is a high energy dog who had major leash aggression and problems jumping on people. We had tried every other dog training under the sun. No luck. Finally, we met Jon and sent Frankie off to a full 10 day submersion program.

I was worried she would come back timid, or lose her personality somehow. Nope! She came back the same high energy dog but the difference was–she would listen to us! Even as much as she wants to lunge and lick your face–when she hears “sit” she actually sits until she is released. I cannot express the joy I felt when I was finally able to walk my dog (and she wasn’t walking me) AND we were able to walk by other dogs without her lunging at them.

It is not cheap but it is WELL worth the money to have the peace of mind that a well behaved dog brings. It’s been almost three years since her training and we still get complimented on her obedience everywhere we go. Best dog trainer ever. Thank you, Sit Means Sit South Denver!!

Jon and his staff are truly lifesavers, literally. I adopted a wild dog from Tijuana who had no discipline at all but was very cute so she got away with everything. Then I adopted a Belgian Malinois. OMG these dogs were horrible together. I didn’t even want to come home and my wife liked the situation even less. Desperate for help I looked for a dog trainer and I found Jon .

All my neighbors were aware of my problems with these dogs and met me in front of my house to talk about the dogs. When I brought my dogs home from their first day of training with Jon and his staff it was truly unbelievable–the change in the dogs’ behavior. We have completed 4 days of training and will start group training now. I am not a wealthy man and work very hard for my money. I will tell you this was some of the best money I have ever spent.

When we adopted our lab, she (Daisy) was house-trained but not leash-trained. Daisy also likes to “play hard” with other dogs and thus we were hesitant to take her to the dog park. She has a huge hunter’s instinct, so we could not let her off leash in dog friendly parks where this is allowed because if she saw a squirrel/rabbit/etc., she’d take off without regard to our calls to “come!”. This was problematic as we want to give Daisy a fun life, and have fun with her as well, which involves having her both leash trained and off leash trained. In June, we signed Daisy up for the all day training sessions. Jon and his staff did an amazing job.

Within the first week, she was leash trained. Working with Daisy outside of class and implementing what Jon and his staff taught her, we are now to the point where we can comfortably take Daisy to dog parks and also have her off leash, knowing she will come back to us. In fact, in lots of instances, we don’t need to use commands as she will anticipate and perform actions before we can give commands. Off leash, she walks right at our side until told she can “go play”. Worth the money!
