Maserati the Husky Mix | General Obedience

MaseratiMy dog, Maserati, just got done with his session of a 1 week board and train with Ryan. Ryan originally trained my other dog, Aston, over a year ago. I tried myself to apply the same training methods that I was taught with Aston to Maserati. But I could not break him to listen to me as well as Aston did. Maserati was like a tank pulling my girlfriend around and made it hard for her to walk him. Over the year with only Aston being trained, working with Ryan through the weekly classes and reading the information he gives out, he makes it his mission that his client’s and their dogs have everything they need. He informed me about raw food diet, and this alone saved Maserati from his digestion problems he was having that the vet couldn’t figure out.

Maserati was dropped off on November 11th for the training. I gave Ryan a list of things I needed to make sure to correct with Maserati. One of the top things was to have a proper on-leash walk with no pulling. Within a few days, I received a video of Maserati walking on-leash without pulling. He kept pace whether it was fast or slow or at grandma pace. I haven’t seen him do that with anyone. A few days later, he sent a video of Maserati listening to commands while distractions (or other dogs) were happening and he was able to follow them. This was great since I live on a very busy public street with a lot of road noise construction. These two things alone was worth the investment alone as it will save your dog’s life in certain situations.

When I picked up Maserati with my girlfriend, Ryan had my girlfriend walk him, and he did not pull at all just like the video he sent. When she turned around, he turned around. When she stopped, he stopped and sat. When I brought him home, my parent’s are always excited to see him and he would jump up on them and go crazy. I put him in a “SIT” and he stayed there until I gave him a “BREAK” to come say Hi to my parents. He didn’t jump or go crazy, he was calm and relaxed.

Today, I took Maserati to a car meet which had tons of distractions, and he was perfect on-leash. I had him Sit while I was talking to friends and getting food, and he sat and stayed. Everyone was surprised at how calm he was, no jumping, no running off, no pulling. We ran into another one of Ryan’s client whom noticed the Sit Means Sit collar. She noticed right away that he was staying in the Sit while her dog was sniffing Maserati. Boom! just like the video.

Am I happy with Ryan’s training? Yes

Would I use Ryan again? Of course I would.
