We are so please with the training. It has helped us enjoy every aspect of our experience with our dog and has helped our dog understand our expectations. I would recommend Sit Means Sit Dog Training to anyone!

A total game changer for my dogs. Brought both of my dogs (Marley and Kobe) for training, both are about 1 and a half years old and had trouble listening to basic commands, jumping, barking, and not listening on walks. Mark helped with all of that and much more. They both listen so well now and are eager to please. You just have to keep up with the things that they teach the dogs and you. Its the most important part of the training. Would recommend them to anyone!

We can’t thank Mark enough for the work he’s done with our dog over the past year. We’ve gone from not being able to walk him on a leash to being able to take him downtown with ease. The follow-up group classes offered are an added bonus and is great training for both pets and their owners. Would highly recommend Mark’s services!

We brought our aggressive 4 year old Yorkie here for training and are amazed by the results! We’ve tried other training programs with very little success, so we didn’t have much hope. Mark did a phenomenal job with our little guy. He went completely above and beyond to help us. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking for any kind of training for their dog!

This is the best investment I could have done for my furbaby! Mark loves each of his fur-clients and I know all the dogs love Mark just as much! My dog whines as we get closer to training every single time and she has come so far from where we began! Anytime I need extra help with something or have a question, Mark is right there and eager to help us succeed!

Dasher’s transformation was immediate. Even just after one lesson, he became more relaxed, was walking in a loose leash heel, and listening better than ever before. It was a stunning change of behavior that left us speechless when me and my wife took him for walks. We still can’t believe the difference in his behavior in such a short period. After we completed his 4 lessons, it’s a significant difference in how he listens to us. We now are much more comfortable taking him out to dog parks/restaurants without fear of being stressed out the entire time. Dasher is continuously looking to us for guidance and listens/reacts quickly when we need his attention. The added group classes are just an extra bonus. Training where other dogs are present allows us to work together to make sure that even in a more distracting environment we feel more and more confident and in control.

Mark Nowak is the best dog trainer I have ever met. Each time we picked up our puppies from day training, to see the progress they had made was absolutely astounding. The puppies would get so excited to see Mark and really enjoyed the structured training. Worth every cent. We started with two crazy litter mates and now have two well-heeled dogs. Gave us the skills and futre we would not have otherwise had without Mark and Sit Means Sit. Thank you.

Mark Nowak is an amazing trainer. We’ve been very happy with the lessons we received at Sit Means Sit. Mark is patient, friendly, and tireless in his efforts to make sure that we manage correctable behaviors in a positive and humane way. Mark’s knowledge and recommendations are helping us get results. Bucky and Lulu were already adorable beyond words, but now they are on the way to becoming furry good behavior ambassadors. I may be exaggerating a tad, but it’s no lie that Mark will help you get your fur baby on track to being the best dog EVER.

We never imagined we would have a dog. Two years of talking and some what planning and Hunter came into our home. We rescued him in March 2021 he was 6 months. Within a few days, we were in a whole new world, our lives changed and we wondered if we made a good decision. We researched training. From local pet stores, no way, to personal trainers and I stumbled upon Sit Means Sit. I researched them and it felt like exactly what we needed. When we had our consult with Mark the experience was like sitting down with your neighbor and getting to know you, while learning more than we knew or expected. We began with one on one classes with Mark coming to our home. It was rough for us more than it was for Hunter. Looking back, he did great, it was us (me) that lacked the confidence and trust in ourselves. Looking back, we persevered and improved ourselves. We never expected more than just simple training, we were just looking to have a Good Dog. Sit Means Sit is WAY MORE than just training. They express compassion and care for every dog and human alike. The variety of dogs in the group class go to show any and all dogs can be trained, if the human is willing to learn too. Here we are a year later. Hunter is 1 1/2 years old and the most impressive and amazing part of all that Sit Means Sit has done for us, Hunter is a certified member of Go Team Therapy Dogs. We absolutely never in a million years would have thought we would have a therapy dog. We are only beginning this new journey but we are so excited to begin a new chapter with Hunter and experience the gift of giving and being able to watch others receive the gift of love and compassion only a pet can give. Thank you Mark and Allie, we can’t say enough to express how much this has meant to us.

Mark and Alicia went above and beyond to ensure we have the proper tools and training to help our baby beagle on her path to adulthood. Without Sit means Sit, We would not have had the knowledge, skills, or abilities to teach our precious, but amazingly stubborn puppy, how to make good choices and behave in a way that creates a safe and harmonious environment for all. Thank you Mark and Alicia for always being by our side during this journey!

My dog Honeybear became aggressive reactive because another dog got off leash and tried to attack her. She became super protective of me, and pushed me down the totem pole. Mark and Allie have truly helped in identifying her triggers and taught me how to correct her properly. She still has a ways to go, but I feel more confident in being able to help hernot see other dogs as a threat. We still can’t go to dog parks like we used to, but I can walk by on leash without issue. Sit Means Sit has given us our confidence back.

Best dog trainer in St.Pete! I love working with Mark. He is very professional and knows so much! Friendly service and helped me train my pup so quickly! I definitely recommend doing their group class it’s always so much fun! My 2 year old pup used to be scared of everything and everyone. I could barely leave her home alone and she is like a completely different dog now! So confident in herself and in me and she has become a great listener! I look forward to continuing to work with Mark! Definitely worth every penny!!! 🙂

Mark and the sit means sit dog training program is amazing. We’ve had just a few lessons with Mark and our shepsky Cloud and the amount of progress in just this short amount of time is incredible. When we adopted Cloud we found he had fear aggression with other people and dogs. Walking was a nightmare. He was always pulling and when he would see another he would lunge and bark uncontrollably. Others were afraid of him and I was afraid for what he might do. being around these distractions is getting easier everyday. I saw him play with a dog for the first time the other day and cried. It was like watching a baby take their first steps. Today after class he went to petsmart and got so much praise and attention for being so good,a journey we would’ve never attempted before training with Mark. I literally can not give Mark and the program enough praise . I would recommend sit means sit to anyone for any problem any day!

We are so thankful for Mark and Sit Means Sit. It is obvious Mark loves what he does . He is consistently very personable during our one on ones with him as well as with everyone during group class and gives clear instruction even though everyone is at different levels of learning. It has been a great experience for us as well as our dogs. All anxiety, fear and frustration we had before our training is guickly going away and our dogs happy and confident .

We were recommended Mark at Sit means Sit by a mutual friend. We have a 15 month old rambunctious golden doodle with mega esophagus that we were loath to use an e collar with……… Mark came explained the process, had us feel the stimulus that Bodie would get and we signed up. Best decision ever!!! Mark worked with Bodie and more importantly trained us!!! Bodie LOVED Mark and left and returned with a wagging tail. Four weeks into the training and Bodie is a different dog!!! He walks with a trailing leash around our neighborhood, comes when called, retrieves balls off leash in an unfenced park full of distractions and is so much better about not jumping up on people when he meets them. Money well spent! Would totally recommend him!!!’

Working with Mark at Sit Means Sit has been life changing for us. Our rescue pup Dixie was afraid of people and dogs. After just a few sessions she was a different dog. She has become more sociable and so much better behaved. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit.

Life changer! We have a very large, stubborn country bumpkin bloodhound in the city. Did I say stubborn? Mark has worked with Abby and I so that she (and myself) learn so much, and have fun and never give up. She grows every week and is given the chance to shine. Each dog is given the opportunity to work at the pace they develop as well as function in a group setting. Mark understands where the dogs are at individually as well as the realistic potential of our four legged best friends.

Mark at Sit Means Sit has been phenomenal in helping us with our sweet three year old rescue, Sammy. Prior to her training Sammy was anxious and sometimes aggressive with new dogs and new people. She destroyed our blinds and our door trying to get at the delivery man, the dog next door or literally anyone walking through the neighborhood. She had worked with multiple trainers through other companies prior to Mark and only seemed to get worse. During our consultation, Mark was patient with Sammy and truly invested in helping us and her. Sammy did three day and train sessions, and her progress session over session was amazing. Just this week, Sammy attended group training and was able to be around and enjoy the company of other dogs and people. I cannot recommend Mark enough, he has been so invested in Sammy’s growth and Sammy is always so excited and happy to see him.

Mark is awesome! So informative, professional, and patient. He also is very good at explaining the training system and practice. My dog is so much better behaved and has good manners now too!! Thanks Mark!

The Sit Means Sit program enabled me to take my two dogs Gaea and Dayzee on mountain hikes without worrying about them chasing wildlife. It’s great to hike with my dogs and not worry about spooking the wildlife, thank you!

I am so pleased and impressed with Sit Means Sit in general. My Aussie puppy did a three week board-and-train since my work schedule limited my ability to go to group classes. They were very understanding and did an excellent job of explaining every aspect of their training methods, their e-collar, and were very open to questions. I met with a number of different trainers and every single one was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. The difference in my puppy is incredible. She listens (the collar really helps), she doesn’t bite me as I walk by, and she doesn’t bark for attention. For the go-home lessons, the trainers I met with were very patient with me as I learned how to work with her, explained the e-collar and its use in detail, and gave me pointers on how to work with specific challenges I was having. Excellent service, very pleased with the results, money well spent. Sit Means Sit is my go-to for dog training because of their quality work and friendly staff.

We took our two pitbulls to Sit Means Sit for training. Sit Means Sit did a wonderful job training our dogs. Kileaux was always easily distracted and Nikita was a rambunctious puppy. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching us how to work with our dogs on continued training.

It is hard to find companies that will work with pitbull puppies, let alone full grown 115+ lb pitbulls. However, Sit Means Sit never failed to make my dogs feel loved and welcomed – which was an added bonus to the amazing quality of training we received. I will absolutely be referring Sit Means Sit to friends and family!

Sit Means Sit’s training program has seriously been one of the best investments I have ever made. I picked my dog, Biggie, up last week and the changes in her behavior and previous aggression have been unbelievable! She’s a better listener, less territorial, and just an all around better behaved and happier dog!

My dog has been able to get off of her very strong anti-anxiety medication and live a better life because of the trainers at Sit Means Sit. Her quality of life, as well as mine and that of my family’s is infinitely better and for that I will be forever grateful!

Thank you Sit Means Sit for changing Biggie’s life! She looks forward to more group training and I will recommend y’all to everyone I know!
