Client Review For Ranger!

“We recently got a really great GSD puppy and being that we have a toddler we wanted to make sure we got him the best training possible, since we have owned and loved dogs in the past but are by no means dog trainers. Everyone we know recommended David at Sit Means Sit. We are only starting and it is amazing the changes we have seen in our dog. He had two puppy lessons with Justin Ives. Justin was excellent. In today’s COVID environment we have had a difficult time trying to socialize our dog, so he is very skittish around new people, Justin was patient, treated the dog with respect, made the encounter non-confrontational and within 5-10 minutes my dog had a new best friend. Using just food based training at two, one hour long lessons, our dog learned to sit, lay down and began to learn how to walk on a loose leash, and place training. Fast forward to today which was his first full day of training with Justin and David, and it is like we have a whole new dog. During the day, my wife and I were sent text messages from sit means sit with videos of our dog’s training progress. It was titled with the training and had commentary from David specific to our dog, describing what the purpose of the training was, as well as how our dog was doing. They introduced the collar today and it is absolutely incredible what they have done. We went for a walk tonight and he was on a loose leash the entire time, even with my toddler son running around to distract him. David was great when I picked the dog up. He held a collar in his hand, taught me to use the remote and played the role of dog to teach me how to use the remote in an appropriate and responsible way. After finishing the instruction, he brought my dog in and walked me through everything. He was patient with the dog and me as well. It was a fantastic learning environment for the dog and for me, because let’s face it, they are training us to be better dog owners too. The price tag on this training might give people a little bit of sticker shock, and I did have one person recommend another training site simply because they are cheaper. Every person I talked to about sit means sit said “it’s worth every penny” and I am here to tell you we are three lessons in and it is worth every single penny. A dog is only around for part of our life but we are a dog’s whole life and THAT is worth investing in. I highly recommend sit means sit, if you’re on the fence hurry up and make the right decision, you won’t regret it.” – Joshua Spencer.
