Tampa Named 2nd Most Dog-Friendly City in US

The city of Tampa was named the second-best place for our furry friends to live. WalletHub just released their findings on the most pet-friendly cities in America based on 23 metrics such as budget, wellness, and outdoors.

Tampa was likely named one of the best due to its 15 dog parks, 52 pet-friendly breweries, and six dog-friendly beaches. Tampa is known for its number of hiking trails and veterinarians, which lend to its high ranking on the list. 

According to the Visit Tampa Bay website, their ultimate dog guide includes

• Dog-friendly hikes – over 132 acres of nature trails and ponds
• Puppy playgrounds – grassy parks and hydration stations appear in these playgrounds
• Doggy friendly hotels – several downtown hotels welcome pets
• Outdoor dining – patios galore in this sunny city
