Denver Colorado Dog Training
Welcome to Sit Means Sit Denver Dog Training! Our mission is to provide training programs that result in a happy, confident, and satisfied owner as well as a happy, confident, and obedient dog. With industry-leading results and customer service, you will achieve the maximum control on and off the leash while still allowing your pet to “act like a dog”! Your family will confidently enjoy your dog on walks, hikes, camping, BBQs, and trips around town very quickly. Anthony even takes his dogs skiing!
Our programs include puppy management, basic and advanced obedience, behavior modification, aggressive dog training, one-on-one and group training—all aimed at giving you and your dog the highest levels of fun and control, even around severe distractions. It’s hard to forge a deep friendship with your dog when he’s chewing up your furniture, soiling your carpets, jumping uncontrollably, or nipping at your friends and kids! Our training methodology puts you in charge so you can move beyond bad behavior and begin to more thoroughly enjoy your relationship with your dog.
Upon completing our program, you will confidently:
- Walk your dog off-leash
- Control any acts of aggression
- Call your dog and be rewarded with immediate obedience
- Gain control while still showing your affection
Plus, you’ll be able to quickly control bad or annoying behaviors like:
- Jumping Up
- Excessive Barking
- Running Away
- Destructive Behavior
- Separation Anxiety
- Leash Pulling
- Soiling the House
- Nipping & Chewing
- Aggression

We just adopted a 6 month old puppy and need some help with some training.. overall she is a good puppy but although she knows how to go outside … will all of a sudden just squat, when 15 minutes before she begged to go outside.
Congrats on the new addition! Your current challenge should be short lived, so let’s see if we can help and then you can just get to the fun part of why you got a puppy in the first place! Give us a call at 303-422-3647 or email directly to Denver@sitmeanssit.com and we’ll see where you live and which location is closest to you. Thanks, Anthony
My fiance and I adopted a year old Boxer/Beagle mix puppy from the shelter about 3 months ago. The poor thing has now been adopted 3 times and we REFUSE to be the next in line to give up on him. He’s had little to no prior training and so he’s developed quite a few bad habits that we’re having a very hard time breaking. Also, b/c he’s been left so many times before he has TERRIBLE separation anxiety. It’s to the point where I’m afraid he’ll hurt himself trying to get out of his kennel when we’re gone. I’m looking for help b/c I know that’s the only way Tucker is going to get the training and help he needs from us. We live in Arvada and would love to find the perfect fit in a trainer for our family. If you think you can help us please let me know!!
Hi Erin, let’s have a quick chat on the phone to talk about your situation and then if we hit it off we can get together to meet. We offer a free evaluation so you can be sure of fit before spending any money. You can call us at 303-422-3647 or email Denver@sitmeanssit.com.

I have a terrific 4-year-old rescue Weimaraner … sweet with a calm disposition. However, he has a high prey drive and is not afraid of cars. We’re working on the “leave it” command, and he listens most of the time, but not always. I’m no match for his muscle power when he sees a squirrel or Canada goose before I do. Do you offer training for controlling this specific behavior? Thanks much!
Hi Karen,
We work with people and their dogs on all types of behaviors. Right now we have three young weim’s (3 families) that are doing great, even off the leashes around other dogs and distractions! Best thing to do is call me at 303-619-1301, we’ll talk for a few minutes and see if we hit it off.
Thanks for the contact,
Anthony
Hi Ian,
Thanks for contacting us. We’ve worked with bloodhounds before and had success, but we’d have to meet you and your dog to see what you’ve done and what you’d like and how we could work with him specifically. The best thing to do is chat by phone and see if it makes sense to get together. You can reach us at 303-422-3647.

Hello I have an American Bulldog Name Harley he is 11 months old. I tried to take him to a dog park before he became very aggressive before we entered. I tried to calm him down however it didn’t work so we had to leave. I seen him get angry when a dog walks pass our door. I would like to be able to take him to the dog parks and other places were there will be other dogs without acting so crazy. Thank you if you can help please let me know thanks…..
Hi Carlos,
Sounds like it’s time to get better control of Harley before he gets much bigger and older. The best thing to do is talk by phone for a few minutes and see if we should get together and meet you guys. My phone is 303-619-1301, give me a buzz!

Hi there! I have a 11 month old chihuahua mix. I think he is more a rottweiler/shar pei mix. He is full of energy and loves to play. I have tried to “train” him by myself however, since my husband has deployed I am finding it difficult to make time for it again. His behavior was really good until recently. He has become aggressive with our other dog at times, I cannot take him on a walk with out him trying to run and bark at other dogs and sometimes people. He constantly barks, even if a dog down the street is barking, he wants to bark as well. He seems as if he “protecting” me. I did socialize him but have stopped recently due to my crazy schedule. Do you think this is the issue? Really I’m just on my last straw. He’s driving me nuts, but I love him to pieces! My older dog is starting to act out and pick up some of his not so great habits. I would like to bring them both in, probably not at the same time. I just need more information as to how you guys go about training, price, location and times to meet up. I’m not sure the puppy will do well with a group class setting. I’m afraid he will want to play and nibble on other dogs. HELP!!
