Ingredients

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger (or 1 teaspoon of dried powdered ginger)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the molasses, honey, water, and oil.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well.
  5. Divide the dough into 4, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 3-5 hours.
  6. Lightly flour your surface and roll the dough to be about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes!
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cookies begin to brown.
  9. Let cool completely before letting your furry friend dig in!

You can frost the cookies with melted yogurt chips or a bit of white chocolate melts if you like. (Stay away from anything containing cocoa!) Or, you can top it with a dog-safe frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (or organic canola oil)
  • optional: 2 tablespoons dried cranberries, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder, applesauce, honey, and olive oil and mix until well combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough and roll out the dough to be about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  5. Press a few pieces of the chopped cranberries into the top of each cookie for some added holiday cheer
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the treats are firm to the touch.
  7. Turn off the oven, open the door, and allow the cookies to cool in the oven for about 20-30 minutes.
  8. Once cooled, let your canine enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup nonfat powdered milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup bone broth
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons all-natural red food coloring (such as beet juice)
  • 1 large egg for egg wash
  • Additional flour for kneading

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, powdered milk, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, the eggs are put into the bone broth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until combined.
  4. Separate the dough in half, wrap one-half in wax paper, and refrigerate.
  5. Add the red food coloring to the other half and knead thoroughly.
  6. Wrap the red half in wax paper and refrigerate for two hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease your cookie sheets.
  8. Divide each half of the dough into tablespoon-sized balls with an equal number of red and white balls.
  9. Roll out each ball into roughly 5-inch long, thin strips.
  10. Twist one of each colored strip together and bend it into the classic candy cane shape.
  11. Whisk the extra egg and each treat with the egg wash.
  12. Bake for 10 minutes.
  13. Cool completely, and enjoy!

Though not a traditional Christmas flavor, our canine companions love nothing more than peanut butter and bacon!

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of diced bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup creamy natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup soy flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Fry the diced bacon until crispy and separate from the fat (but let the fat cool for 2-5 minutes and save for later!)
  3. Add your egg, peanut butter, maple syrup, and water to the bacon fat and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add the soy flour, pastry flour, and wheat germ and mix until well combined.
  5. Stir in the bacon pieces.
  6. Lightly flour your surface and roll the dough out to be roughly a 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Cut out shapes with your cookie cutters.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
  9. Cool completely, and your pup will go nuts!
