Just wanted to let you know how happy I am with Rook and Arrow’s training. As a Veterinarian, I see so many animals that are given away because the owners were unable(or unwilling) to train them. I can say with absolute certainty to my clients that this method works. It is easy to do and you see the results immediately. I have recommended you to many clients who are frustrated with their rambunctious four legged family members. I would love for every dog to stay in their forever homes and Sit Means Sit can make this dream possible.

Before I called Sit Means Sit, my dog Seven had a few problems. He was tied up outside when I got him, so needless to say, he didn’t trust me very well. Seven would jump my fenced in yard, bolt out the door, not listen at all, growl at me with his food bowl, he bit the neighbor kid, and he was also a terror in the house. When he would get loose, there was no coming back until the next day. I thought he was a lost cause until I talked to Sit Means Sit. After a free demonstration by Paul, I decided to hire him for training. I was skeptical that the training would work, but my skepticism was proven wrong. Within about 30 minutes of the first home session, Seven was being very obedient. After the three home visits, I got to take him to group training. What a wonderful place that is. Not only did Seven learn to trust me, He also learned how to sit where I tell him, (he loves to sit in a wheelbarrow) and not move, he stays in the yard, he lets me take his food away, there’s no more bolting out the front door, heck, he’ll even stay in the front yard when I walk up the street. I am very pleased with Paul and his team at Sit Means Sit, and I would gladly recommend them to anyone that has a dog like mine. Thanks for taking the time to read my testimonial.

The change in Sophie’s behavior is just amazing!!  And in just 3 weeks!!  We can’t wait for the group sessions.  Chris is a wonderful trainer.  He was very informative and was happy to deal with any questions or concerns that we had.  I would recommend your training services to anyone.  Great job and thank you!!

I can’t say thank you enough for helping with Yoshi’s training. Even after one lesson, I couldn’t believe how much of a change I saw in him. Yoshi was never “bad” or severely misbehaved, but could definitely have used a little more obedience, especially when outside. Within a couple of days of the first lesson, I already had him off the leash to go outside to get the mail or walk the trashcan to the end of the driveway! He was also a really bad puller on the leash, so we were using a Gentle Leader, but he no longer needs it! He does great walking on the leash now. The trainers with Sit Means Sit are great people and they are absolutely wonderful with dogs. Thanks to their hard work, Yoshi is a happier dog and I am a much happier owner. Thanks for everything, I HIGHLY recommend you give them a call!
Take care and again, thanks for everything!

My name is Jim Yuhas and I wanted to provide a testimonail for our recent training with Mike.  Jennah (My girlfriend) and I couldn’t be happier with the experience we’ve had.  Samus is our year old pit bull/curly haired retriever mix and Mike did a wonderful job with us.

The change in Samus has been amazing. She listens and pays attention like never before. Before our Sit Means Sit lessons she wasconstantly distracted and we would have never had her off leash. After just the first lesson, she was behaving wonderfully.  We even had her off leash for her potty breaks the next day! Another bonus is that she is even more affectionate than she was before. We definitely didn’t expect that.

Mike was a great pleasure to work with. He was on time, very enthusiastic about our training, and also very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions without hesitation.
We couldn’t be happier with this training experience. Thank you Sit Means Sit!

Just wanted to say we couldn’t be happier with the results.  I was a bit skeptical at first.  Watching the You Tube videos of the fantastic dogs, I could never imagine those animals as part of our family.  After three sessions with Mike we can see that the potential to have all we imagined out of our furry family members is there.  If you’re looking for a magic wand this isn’t it.  Paul and his crew will teach you how to PROPERLY use the E collar, but you have to put the time in so that you and your family and dogs all understand what is expected.  We are really looking forward to the group classes.  Dozer has always been fearful and aggressive towards strangers. He already seems more at ease with others and we think the group classes will help him be less fearful.
Mike Joseph was a pleasure to work with.  He was easygoing and fun and helped us get the most out of our dogs.  We have had many dogs over the years, but none we were ever comfortable having off leash.  Mike has helped us get our puppy, Penny to a level that our other dogs never attained, and she is only 6 months old.  Each dog has a very differrent personality.  One is very laid back and slow and the other has a motor that is always on.  He helped us see the  differrent techniques needed to get the most from each of them.

Thank you Sit Means Sit

This is to acknowledge the outstanding work you have done with me to learn important English words. I now understand when my owners ask me to come, heel, wait and sit. For example, I now enjoy sitting at the door when people come to visit our house, Previously I would jump around like an 80 lb. maniac whenever someone rang the bell. This seemed to upset my owners and that’s when they called ‘Sit Means Sit.’

Now, I’m a much happier dog and my owners are too. We can enthusiastically recommend ‘Sit Means Sit’ Training to any dog.

Before Mike with Sit Means Sit Cleveland-Akron came into our lives Mea was completely out of control. She was like putting a bull in a china shop. Everything in her path destroyed and no way to communicate to her what I needed or wanted from her. After our first session Mea had already changed. She was listening to me, doing what I asked, and we began to bond even more than we already had. Each week her progress got better and I became even more amazed than the week before. I cannot thank you, Mike, enough for giving me the tools to bring my dog to her full potential and our relationship as well. You saved her and I will forever be grateful for all you’ve done.

There’s a local pet store in our area that specializes in puppies from local breeders. We visit the store fairly frequently to check out the pups. One afternoon, one particular pup caught my eye, but when I brought my husband to see him, there were only 2 pups left in the crate. We couldn’t see taking one pup and leaving the other, so we decided to get both, and we named them David and Brian.

For the first few months everything was fine with the boys. They did everything together-eat, sleep, and play. As they got a little older, though, they started getting more and more territorial, and soon they started fighting with each other. One would give the other the “stink eye”, and before you knew it, they were in knockdown, drag out fights to the death. By this time, they were pretty much ingrained into our family, and we couldn’t imagine giving one away. We decided to call Sit Means Sit because they had won a “Best in the Area” award.

When speaking with them on the phone, they said that they could train the boys to be less aggressive, so we gave them a try. From the first time Chris visited our home, we could tell that he had something that the boys really responded to, and we practiced everything he taught us during the days between Chris’ visits. I won’t say that the fighting stopped immediately, but over time we noticed that they were less and less aggressive toward each other. We started attending the group classes, and the more often we went, the better behaved they were…or maybe we were getting better trained in how to handle them.

Dave and Brian love going to the group classes where they can socialize with their friends. We can take them into stores where little kids run up to them, and we have no fear about their behavior. They even passed the Canine Good Citizen test. It’s been about a year and half now, and going to Sit Means Sit is the best thing we ever did for our dogs. We wished we had used them for our other dogs, too.

All involved are very dedicated individuals….they train in a very kind way so these pets understand their commands and what is expected of them through dicipline and love.  In return these families practice these lessons learned at home where these pets become a real “joy” to be around. Very good program!!

You guys were better than we could have ever dreamed!  Blu-Ray is now quickly on the way to becoming the dog we dreamed of.  Chris and Paul are very helpful and knowledgeable, which helped us quickly grasp the concepts they were teaching.  Rachel helped schedule classes around our very crazy schedules.   She/they were very accommodating during a very trying and difficult time for us.  I can not wait until we have our other dog go through this class and get her to that next level.  The only thing I would have done differently is enroll sooner.   We have enjoyed the entire process and I recommend it to every dog owner out there!

Before Sit-Means-Sit, my lab mix, Misty was a huge ball of energy and not able to focus. Since her training we are able to keep her off leash to run around and play in our unfenced back yard. She used to piddle, but four days with Paul and she no longer piddles. The results were instant from the first day of training where Mike was able to stop her from jumping up on people.

Wanted to thank Mike for the Sit Means Sit personal training sessions with our dog Zeus. We were amazed at how quickly we saw results with him.  Mike was right. Zeus is even more affectionate now that he knows what we expect of him and know how to communicate with him. We are looking forward to the group sessions starting in January so we can get him assimilated with other dogs. I am sure that will be a success as well.

I am definitely a satisfied customer and have already recommended this type of training to my next door neighbors!!

Happy Holidays and Good Luck.

I wanted better behavior in public and when someone comes to our home. Our dogs were awful with other dogs and people. Barking, jumping, snarling, etc.. They hated other dogs and barked at every person they saw. They like dogs now and don’t react at all to people we pass on walks. The difference in their behavior is nothing short of amazing. I think you are great. I tell everyone I know, who has a dog, how wonderful your training is. I have passed on the phone number to several people and will continue to do so. It truly is a fantastic program.

Our 6 month old St. Bernard pup Ruby is no longer out of control. We have had 3 home training sessions with Chris and one group session. Ruby is now a pleasure to be with in and out of the house. She doesn’t take me for walks anymore, I am able take her. What a difference Sit Means Sit training has made. The group sessions are so much fun for Ruby and a great way to teach Ruby and us other skills. We are looking forward to next group session. See you Saturday!

Thanks Chris, I know Ruby did not make your task easy!

“I just picked up my 8 year old Jack Russell, Sammy, from 10 days of board/training and to say that he is a new dog is an understatement. The trainers kept in touch with me his entire stay and so did the kennel as he has nasty allergies. You could tell by how he interacted with them that he loved his time there.

The time that was spent “training” my husband and myself when we went to pick him up will come in handy as we continue our journey with Sammy.

I cannot thank the team at Sit Means Sit Akron enough for their patience, encouragement and love they showed my dog.”

So excited to finally be able to spend time with my dog outside, in public and not have to worry about things. Kevin is awesome. He worked through every little thing, always made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns. They also made sure to center around what the needs are you wanted to cover. I will definitely be using sit means sit in the future.

Sit Means Sit is a great company! I was nervous being away from my dog, and the staff was reassuring and were always so comforting and understanding when I called everyday to check up on Nala. Nala has been home from training for about a week and I am very impressed!! She no longer jumps on people to welcome them (she is a big dog), is not mouthy with me, does not try to take things that aren’t hers, and follows her commands wonderfully! I’m looking forward to working with the staff throughout the next year to develop Nala to her full potential as a wonderful dog!!
