Magda attended the ten day training/boarding program. Although I was beyond sad to leave her, I was also excited to see the dog she would become. Sit Means Sit and Michelle have changed our lives. Magda was a bit of a bully and pretty much did whatever she wanted whenever she wanted. Yesterday, for the first time in the four years that I have had her, she spent the entire day outside with the family and I didn’t worry about her once. She stayed in our yard with no urge to run away. She has also been more focused and a nicer sister to her two fur brothers. Magda is nine years old, so I was a little doubtful that she would respond so well, but I guess you can teach old dogs new tricks! I am beyond pleased with the results from Magda’s stay. Not to mention the staff there are so pleasant to work with. Thank you so much!!!!

We dropped our 1 & 1/2 year old GSD Zeke off for a 10 day board and train on 9/7/17. When we picked him up ten days later, he was still the same happy, goofy dog we had before, but much more attentive to commands and calmer than we expected. Zeke has always been high energy and extremely skittish at home around new guests. Since returning home on 9/17/17, we have had friends over that Zeke has barked at (and gotten a little aggressive with), and he let us take control of the situation. Within minutes of giving him commands, he was calming down and ready to say hello to our visitors. We couldn’t be happier with how well the process was for Zeke and we are looking forward to working on making him an even better dog in the future!! Would definitely recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who is looking to train their dog!

The trainers were amazing. So calm and effective in teaching a rambunctious puppy the art of control and behavior. I feel like I have a new dog! They gave us the tools needed to continue to improve as she grows.

Sit Means Sit is a wonderful program to get your dog enrolled in! My 3 year old lab mix went through the program and they completely transformed him. Michelle is a wonderful trainer, as are the other employees. They were so friendly and you can tell that they care very greatly for the animals. They also offer boarding for the dogs and I will only take my dog there from now on! What a wonderful facility!!

Sit Means Sit has truly changed my life! I had a high anxiety shepherd who became reactive towards everything including people, dogs, and cars. I tried everything I could possibly think of to fix his behaviors, but despite my attempts, he continued to get worse to the point where he had to be muzzled any time we went outside. We tried two other training companies and none of them were able to help him, until we found Sit Means Sit. He went through a two-week immersion program and came back a completely different dog! It’s been about 9 months since his training and he just continues to get better every single day. I cannot thank the trainers at Sit Means Sit enough for giving me the happy and obedient dog I always wanted. I can now take him out in public and consistently get compliments on how well behaved he is, which is a great feeling! You can really see the passion and love they have for dogs and they are amazing at what they do!

Our rescue (Catahoula Leopard/Terrier mix) is a sweetheart, but she has a wild streak when she is outdoors. One of the kids would open the door to go outside and Daisy would run outside and go crazy until she decided to come home. This posed a danger to the dog, drivers on our street, and the kids (who would chase after her even when we told them not to). Michelle Culp at Sit Means Sit came for three sessions in our home. Although the training is pricey relative to what we paid for the dog, Daisy does not run away anymore. Knowing that I (or anyone in our family) can call her back and that she will come every time is well worth what we paid, and there are other negative behaviors that Michelle helped us train out of our dog, too. The collars are not cruel–the SMS trainers know how to work with your dog so the lowest level of vibration can be used. The in-home training meant that there would be “homework” for everyone in the family between sessions. This was not challenging, but the daily reinforcement was vital. The trainer is very friendly, and she made herself available via phone between sessions if we had any problems or questions. The one, minor problem we had with the collar was handled by the company immediately. If Sit Means Sit can train my dog, they can train anyone’s dog. I highly recommend them!

There is no better training available. Sit Means Sit corrects problems that others cannot. My dogs are no longer fearful of other dogs, and they are so well behaved on walks and visits to the vet. No more uncontrolled barking fits.

We had a great experience with Sit Means Sit at our home training and at the Copley facility for group training. All the employees were very knowledgeable, great with the dogs and owners. My dog is now able to walk on a leash without dragging me down the road, listens to commands, and it makes for a less stressful time. Thank you!

I found Sit Means Sit to be a company who really cares about you and your dog. My 9 year old rescue has issues that I hoped could be managed with proper training but they called me to pick him up and explained that there are issues that can’t benefit from their training. They were very honest and fair in their assessment of him and the situation. I could not think of a company with more integrity then they have when dealing with you and your dog.

Paul and the whole SMS group are wonderful! They saved our house from destruction. It is such a relief when you get to know your dog so well and know exactly how they will react in a situation, and how to handle it. We never imagined we would have a dog this well trained! They give you the tools and show you what your dog needs so you are learning along with your dog, building a trusting relationship. They also train for the “real world” and not just for classes which is incredibly useful!

We brought our 1 year old Cane Corso to sit means sit for the 10 day training. He is a lovable big lug but he was having issues with listening and he didn’t do well around men and other dogs. The trainers here were wonderful and helped us tremendously with being able to manage our headstrong dog so that he can be balanced and happy. Chelsea and Bethany did a wonderful job working with him. Thank you thank you to sit means sit and their staff for helping us. Highly recommend!

Our dog was very anxious and scared around strangers and other dogs. Taking her on walks was stressful, and having people over to our house was nerve racking. We tried private trainers, group training, pheromone treatments, anti-depressants, thundershirts… Everything we could think of. Finally we decided to place her in Sit Means Sit’s doggy jump start program. We picked her up 2 days ago, and she is a completely different dog! We took her to a group lesson yesterday with over 20 other dogs and strangers and she was as cool as can be. She let complete strangers approach her and pet her without so much as tensing up. We even let her go off leash and romp with 10 other dogs outside for a while. Two weeks ago doing this would have been absolutely out of the question. What I find truly amazing is that the Sit Means Sit method has not changed our dog’s personality. She is still a big, energetic, goof ball. But now she is that way with everyone and not just people she knows. She is clearly SO MUCH happier now, and so am I. This place works miracles.
