Why Choose Sit Means Sit

The Best Dog Training in Corona

Sit Means Sit Dog Training offers professional obedience training for dogs in Corona and the surrounding northwestern Riverside County areas.

At Sit Means Sit, our mission goes beyond basic canine behavioral correction. In addition to tackling obedience issues, our trainers recognize the value in strengthening your relationship with your pup. We know that each dog has a unique personality and shares a special bond with you, which is why we take the time to get to know the pups we train.

We firmly believe that each dog deserves a training program that’s tailored to them. Your pup is unique, so their training approach should be too! That’s why we’ll discuss our various programs with you and help select an option that best suits you and your furry friend.

In our training programs, our goal is to make every training session an engaging and beneficial experience for your pup. Our trainers also strive to prepare them for the real world by incorporating real-world scenarios and practical exercises between the fun activities. No matter which program you choose, you’ll end up with a calmer dog and a reliable companion.

Puppy Management

Puppy Management

The first 16 weeks of a dog’s life are crucial for development. Our Puppy Training Program is designed to help you make the most of this vital time, ensuring that your new companion gets a strong start and remains well-behaved throughout their life. Why Choose Puppy Training? Prevention: Early training is an excellent way to…

Group Class

Group Class

Our Group Class allows dogs to continue their training by practicing skills with the added distractions of other canines and people. For dogs that have already begun training in one of our other programs, our group training class provides an excellent opportunity to further strengthen their growing skill set. Not to mention, group training is…

Behavior Modification Training

In addition to our training programs, we can train your dog or pup to overcome specific behaviors and emotions for a happier, healthier dog.

Aggressive

An aggressive dog can cause difficulties when trying to incorporate them into your daily life, and can create stress and strain for everyone in your household. Often these behaviors stem from factors like inadequate socialization, fear, stress, or negative past experiences. Working collaboratively, you and your trainer can address and resolve some of these behavioral…

Off-Leash

If you aspire to enjoy the freedom of having your dog off-leash while exploring your favorite trails or during camping adventures, off-leash training could be a perfect fit for you and your furry companion. Off-leash training is distinct from obedience, although skills such as recall are the foundation of off-leash training. Our trainers will begin…

Reactive

A reactive dog overreacts to normal situations that other dogs would take in stride. They become overstimulated easily and may bark, lunge, and growl at something as simple as another dog or person walking on the other side of the street. Attention to training is extremely important, as reactivity can turn into aggression. The cause…

Socialization

Socialization with dogs, humans, and other animals is a great way to ensure a well-mannered and confident dog. We’re finishing up our first session of training with our newish lab. She was chewing a lot, not listening real well, but she’s a smart pup. After doing training through SMS we are on a path and she now listens and behaves even better than our other dog. Now we’re going to have to do training with him too!

I have a highly reactive dog who has been difficult to walk and lunges at people and other animals. I had tried a different trainer and while I was able to finally walk her, she continued to pull, lunge and show aggression when others came within 20 feet. I couldn’t board her and had difficulty finding dog sitters when I would need to travel . We are still in the early stages of training, but I have actually been able to walk her using only her collar and leash, with her vibration collar, and she has been calmer when others are in my home. We still have work to do, but she has really been responsive with our trainer, and I have seen progress.
