Save the date for the 5th Annual Run Your Tails Off! 1-Mile and 5K Event!

When

The race will take place on Sunday, September 23, 2018. The 1-Mile will start at 7:30 AM and the 5K begins at 8:00 AM, so don’t be late!

Where

The race is located in the Metro Atlanta Area at Newtown Park in Johns Creek, GA.

Rules

To ensure your dog’s safety along with the other participants there a few rules required if you want to bring your pooch along:

  1. Your pup must be up-to-date on all their shots and vaccinations, including rabies.
  2. Your Dog must have an ID tag on them at all times.
  3. Your dog must be on a leash, with 6ft. being the max length – and they ask that there please be no retractable leashes.
  4. There will be disposable bags and water present you pick up after your dog.
  5. Children need to be at least 16 to participate with a dog without adult supervision.

What Cause?

“Run Your Tails Off!” is in support of the non-profit, Happy Tails Pet Therapy. This organization was founded in 1991 and has been sharing their unconditional love for pets in need ever since. They visit dozens of facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and special events.

What Can I Do?

You can participate in the run/walk in either the 1-mile or 5k. Registration can be completed online or in person on race day. Pre-registration costs $25 for the 5k, $15 for the Fun Run, & a $10 donation for pets (which comes with a bandana). Standard Registration costs $30 for the 5k and $20 for the Fun Run. Race Day Registration is $35 for the 5k and $20 for the Fun Run.

You can also sign up to be a volunteer if running isn’t quite your thing, they always need an extra set of hands to make the race as successful as can be! Signing up to be a phantom runner is also an option, you’ll still receive a t-shirt and the proceeds will go to the great cause. If you don’t want to participate in the race you can always make a donation directly to the Happy Trails Website. Lastly, you can even become a sponsor in support of the event.
