Dog Parks Forsyth County Georgia
Getting your dog outside and moving is very important! It can be hard to find nice places to bring your dog that are safe and fun! Luckily, Forsyth County Parks & Recreation has 3 dog parks all around Forsyth County. At each dog park, their are two main areas. One is made for small dogs and another for large dogs.
Locations
There are 3 options for dog parks around Forsyth County. They are
- Caney Creek Preserve: 2755 Caney Road, Cumming
- Fowler Park: 4110 Carolene Way, Cumming
- Windermere Park: 3355 Windermere Parkway, Cumming
Hours
Hours at these dogs park vary depending on the season. March through October, the parks are open 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. During November through February, they are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Dog Park Rules
There are of course many rules to keep in mind when you bring your pup to one of these parks. The obvious are making sure you clean up your dog’s waste, not smoking or eating in the dog park, and having your dog licensed and vaccinated. You also must…
- Keep your dog on a leash until you and your dog are safely inside.
- Return your dog to a leash before you exit.
- Stay in the fenced in area while your dogs are using the park.
- Be 18 or older.
Here are some other things to keep in mind.
- Children accompanying dog owners inside of area must be at least 12 to enter and strictly supervised by pet owner.
- Aggressive dogs, females in heat and puppies less than 4 months old are not allowed.
- Sick or injured dogs are not allowed.
- No more than (2) dogs per person are allowed on any single visit.
