Group Dog Training

Group Classes

Once your pup has been trained, a group dog training class option is included. This is a way to maintain and re-enforce everything we have worked on, and advance your dog’s obedience to a whole new level!

You will be performing normal obedience tasks around distractions in order to solidify every command, plus it’s a great way to get your dog socialized around other dogs and people. With group class, we will make sure you have the healthy and happy relationship with your dog you have always dreamed of for the remainder of your dog’s life. If new problems should arise, attend a group class and we will address it on the spot, NO extra fees or commitments.

When we take the time to give our dogs the direction they crave, we become relevant in their lives.

Everyone understands the importance of raising our children properly. We teach them right from wrong. We show them by example to live their lives with integrity. With proper guidance, our children will grow up to be successful, productive, and happy adults.

These same principles apply to our dogs. With very little effort, we can teach our dogs to look to us for direction. Their mothers begin teaching and disciplining them when they are only a few weeks old. When they leave their mothers and become a part of our family, it’s incumbent on us to show them how they need to behave in our human household.
My goal is to teach my clients how to be good and fair leaders. Often times I see owners frustrated by their dog’s behavior, the reality is that the dog may not know any other way, and have never been shown what the acceptable behavior is. This is what training is all about, leadership, structure, boundaries, and of course, LOVE!

Ever since I can remember, I have had a deep love for animals. Dogs have been a part of my family since day one, and I am now the proud dog mama of two Pit Bull mixes, Thor and Ebony. Thor entered my life in 2018 while completing my psychology degree at the University of Virginia. He came from a shelter where he had been for two years. Not long after I brought him home, I discovered he suffered from severe leash reactivity and separation anxiety. Life with Thor got pretty stressful and complicated, and that led me to balanced training. Within a matter of weeks, our relationship and lives together began to transform in ways I never could have imagined. Through training, he gained more confidence and trust in himself and in me as a leader, and his anxiety soon subsided. Since working with Thor, I have helped many dogs and families join the wonderful world of balanced training and live the lives they imagined with their furry friends. Now, helping people find more balance in their lives with their dogs has become my passion!

Where do I begin…excellent trainer with an experienced team of trainers. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My boxer, not only does he Love Tim, he is well trained with good commands and still has his goofy personality. My daughter even goes to Tim for her Dobernan, and he’s also well trained, we both rate Sit…

Tim worked with our Pit Bull Rocky, who is very territorial and protective. Rocky would constantly bark aggressively at anyone who tried to enter the house, even certain family members and close friends, when we tried to call him or get him to stop, he would never listen. He had been through several homes, and…

Sit Means Sit Dog Training was one of the best things we could have ever done for ourselves and our 1 year old French Bulldog named Hardy. After months of going through training elsewhere, spending hundreds of dollars with no success, we started to accept the fact that we may never have a well-mannered, and…

At first I wasn’t sure if the “Sit Means Sit” method was going to work for us considering we have what I believe to be a stubborn but sensitive dog. However, after working with Tim and learning how to employ the system effectively, I’m quite pleased with the results. When we started the training with…
