Our Favorite Dog Parks in Littleton, Colorado
Littleton, CO is a rich, thriving community with plenty of opportunities for you and your pup to bond over clear skies and sunshine. We know what it is to get sick of your routine: the same half-mile walk on the same sidewalk in the same neighborhood every day, rain or shine. It gets boring.
That’s why we’ve done the community a favor and created a list of our favorite dog parks in Littleton. We have a broad list that includes off-leash parks, hikes, and activities that you and your fur baby can enjoy. Chatfield State Park Off-Leash Area

As far as off-leash dog parks go, this one takes the cake. It’s 70 acres of opportunity inside the Chatfield State Park, which means you can keep coming back and finding new things every time! Admission is required in the form of either an annual or daily DOLA pass, but locals know that it’s well worth it. You can get these passes at the entrance or at the park office during office hours.
If you want to be more engaged than just sitting at a picnic table watching your dog run in circles, you can take one of the many trails that span the park. There’s even water for your thirsty pup to swim in when the day gets warm. The park is beautiful year-round, and an obvious choice for anyone willing to fit it into their schedule.

Plymouth Mountain Trail

If you’re hoping for a little more exercise, head over to Plymouth Mountain Trail. It’s 6.4 miles, which means it will take somewhere between 5 and 6 hours to walk, depending on how interested Fido is in every leaf that scurries by. Within this hike, there are 7 pet-friendly trails to choose from, some of which are hotter in summer than others.
The trail is a really interesting shape, which keeps visitors coming back to map it, explore it, and learn more about it. Plymouth Mountain Trail boasts some insane views of gorgeous fields, downtown Littleton, and cedar forests. Though it’s beautiful and interesting, it’s almost never crowded, even during peak times. You and your pup can discover in peace and meander for as long as you like.

Wynetka Ponds Bark Park

For more off-leash play, you can head over to the Wynetka Ponds Bark Park. Not only is it a fenced-in area with other good girls and boys, but it has all the amenities you could need. It has separate areas for the extra-friendly dogs and the shy dogs to either make some friends or get some space. It keeps your little one in a space where they feel comfortable without having to mix play styles. You can even call ahead to speak with someone who works there to learn the best times to visit and any upcoming events.
It’s not as big as some other parks, but it still has plenty of space to run around and get the wiggles out. There are water fountains for dogs and humans, doggy dishes, a covered pavilion for pet parents and shade breaks, and poo stations with bags and receptacles. For the humans, there is even a porta-potty near the parking lot, so you can stay as long as you want! The people who hang out at this park are always friendly, and the pups are well-behaved. There isn’t a lot of shade, though, so make sure you bring your SPF!
Deer Creek Canyon Park

Deer Creek Canyon Park is perfect for dogs who need ample space to explore without fear of running into others off-leash. Since all pups are required to be on leashes inside this park, even aggressive dogs can get some fresh air and sunshine. There are different dog-friendly trails that you can choose from, which means you can discover new things every time you come back.
It’s worth noting that you should be aware of rattlesnakes. Also, Deer Creek Canyon Park is closed from February 1st through July 31st to protect the territory that is a yearly raptor nesting site. For more information on yearly trail closings and safety advisories, you can visit this site.
Englewood Canine Corral

If you’re looking for a place to make friends, this little, 1.5-acre fenced area is the place to be. This is a local scene in Littleton where all the best boys and girls gather. It’s on the west side of Belleview Park, and it comes with benches and pet stations for those days when the play gets a little too grubby.
There are a lot of regulars at this park, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s well-maintained with a creek and a bike trail bordering one side of the park. There’s a lot to sniff and explore. The community knows about this gem, which is why you’ll see people enjoying themselves, relaxing, and sometimes bopping along with their accordion (it’s happened).
