Since your dog will probably want to take a bite or two out of your cookies, instead let them have some cookies of their own. You can even decorate or dye the treats so that your dog is in on the holiday excitement!

Give Back

During the holidays, it’s important to not just think about gifts, but also think about how you can give back. Giving you and your dog’s time to those who need it is a great way to do this. Call up your local nursing home or center and see if they are in need of any therapy dog services. Even if your dog isn’t registered as a therapy dog, many places may still want your dog to bring joy to their residents. Just be sure you only do this is your dog is well trained and has a calm demeanor.  You can also look into how you can get your dog to be a certified therapy dog if you want your dog to give me all year round.
