Could not be any more excited about the results we see in our dog. He was completely out of control and came home yesterday and, well, I am still in shock at how beautifully he behaves now. I no longer feel like he is in control of the house, we are! My husband was able to take him to PetSmart for the first time yesterday without fearing how he would behave, and was told by several people that they couldn’t get over how good of a dog he was. That in itself was priceless for him. I feel like we have the dog we always wanted!

Sit Means Sit has truly changed not only my life, but my pups life, and I can never thank them enough for all they have done. I got Copper when he was 7 months old, wild, scared and confused but I loved him from the start. He had never been socialized and was never given the time of day before I found him. I worked as hard as I could to get him to have the confidence he lacked. We went through classes with other trainers, including behavioral classes, and it didn’t work. The vet suggested anxiety medication to help calm him, so we did and it only worked the first couple of doses. We tried all sorts of training methods and he just seemed to get worse.

He started to ignore any command, mark everything, bark at everyone we crossed paths with, and he wouldn’t let anyone in our house without a very long 30 minutes of consistent barking. He was uncontrollable. I finally found Sit Means Sit and I liked what I saw, and though I would have never given him up, this was definitely my last hope on helping him to be a better dog. I honestly just started accepting that I couldn’t take him any where, and that I just couldn’t invite people over anymore.

Reed came over for our consultation and he got to experience Copper for who he was. Which was an incredibly insecure, and nervous dog. He continued to bark at Reed for the first 15-20 minutes he was there, and then Reed had us put on a demo collar, and Reed took Coppers leash and he stopped barking and laid down by Reeds feet while we talked. Which was incredible that he even got him to stop barking in the first place. Though he was still nervous, he was finally manageable.
A couple weeks later we dropped Copper off for his 10 day board and train program. And I will admit, the entire time he was gone, I became so nervous that it wouldn’t work. But that was far from it. We got him back, and we’re entirely blown away by his behavior. We were finally able to go outside without him reacting the way he typically did. He didn’t bark. He didn’t lunge. Instead he sits and looks at me. We now make eye contact, he comes when called, he stays where I leave him, and he isn’t nearly as nervous as he was. He is truly a different dog and he is much happier.

This program teaches dogs that they don’t need to fear of anything, as they can rely on their owners. And I truly see that in Copper, because now he looks at me when he’s scared and waits for my response.
He isn’t PERFECT but you cannot expect for him to change all the fear and all the habits he has created over the course of his life, in just 10 days. It is a process, and it takes your dedication as well. We work with him every day, and every day I watch him strive to be the best he can be. He isn’t scared, and he counts on me.

He is honestly a new dog, and I can’t thank Reed and Heather enough for helping him conquer his fear and for teaching him to lean on me. In my eyes he is perfect, but there is always room to grow.
If you have a dog that needs trained, this is the place to go. I will forever recommend them. It is 100% worth the investment, and you won’t be disappointed.

I cannot express enough how pleased my husband and I are with the work that Sit means Sit did with Zoe. We had some basic training with her when we got her almost 2 years ago, but we definitely needed more. She is a half Husky with a full husky personality so she was extremely energetic, did what she wanted, pulled when on her leash/etc.

I was skeptical about leaving her for a 5 day board and train just because she’s my fur baby, but WOW! I was impressed when we picked her up before we even saw her. Reed was so great and took the time to sit down with us, show us how to use the right commands and use the remote. He told us how she did and said at first, she even manipulated him a little bit with her Husky ways. Then we did some test runs of him pretending to be the dog so we could practice with the remote. Then he brought our Zoe out who we could tell was super excited to see us and we were able to practice these commands with her before leaving the facility. I had to take her to the vet the other day and before Sit means Sit, she would bark at other dogs, it was hard to get her to go back into the office or get up on the scale/etc. Now I had absolutely no problem! We walked in, she sat down, didn’t bark at a single dog, went straight up on the scale when I said “place”. Even the vet was like “wow your dog listens really well to you”.

I also love that we can attend the group classes on weekends and that there are also follow up visits to our house to check up on Zoe! I can’t say enough really. Thank you Reed and Heather for all you did/do and I’m so glad that WE have control of our house/dog again. I am recommending Sit means Sit to anyone that asks for recommendations!

THIS PLACE HAS SAVED US! I honestly cannot put into words the relief I feel now that WE (the humans) have the control back in our hands. Heather and Reed have given us the knowledge and tools to control and teach our pups how to behave and keep everyone safe. We had a wild 3 year old pup and an old bitter, anxiety-driven 10 year old pup– both are excelling with the training and now we are able to enjoy things with them that we hadn’t been able to do so before. We have completed the initial training sessions we signed up for, but will continue their training further by attending the group classes that are offered to further invest in them… and us! This service is well worth the time and cost, the results are priceless. Heather and Reed are so patient, understanding and love what they do. I would recommend this place time and time again. Thanks Heather and Reed!

Anybody who is considering using Sit Means Sit Cincinnati should not even think twice! We sent our 9 month old Rottweiler for 5 days while we went away. When Reed brought her back we noticed an amazing difference right from the start. However yesterday was an amazing testament to the work they really do. We had our sons third birthday party at our house with around twenty people and everyone there asked what happened to our dog. She is so well behaved people were ready to sign there pups up on the spot. Thank you Reed!
