Organic Bad Breath Biscuits

These classic dog biscuits have a fresh, minty twist!

Ingredients and Supplies

This recipe requires:

  • 1 & 1/2 cups coconut flour
  • 2 & 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/3 cup fresh mint
  • 1/3 cup curly parsley
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil.

The most important ingredients for this recipe are the fresh mint and the parsley. Those will give Fido minty fresh breath. You will also need mixing bowls, measuring cups, a rolling pin, cookie cutters, a baking sheet, and parchment paper.

Recipe

Put the coconut flour, oat flour, mint, and parsley into a bowl and then mix.  In a smaller bowl, mix together the melted coconut oil and eggs. Then, pour this mixture into the dry ingredients, and combine until clumps form. Mix until crumbly. Pour water into the mixture, and mix until the dough sticks together. Flatten the dough evenly on the parchment paper, using cookie cutters to cut out the treats. Finally, bake the treats at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Let it cool, and then give these biscuits to your furry friends!

Homemade Frozen Fresh Breath Dog Treats

This frozen treat is perfect for summer!

Ingredients and Supplies

For this recipe, you’ll need:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup curly parsley
  • Green food coloring.

You’ll also need a cutting board, mixing bowl, and ice cub tray.

Recipe

First, mince the fresh parsley and mint leaves. Then mix with 1 cup of plain yogurt and a few drops of green food coloring. After everything is mixed, spoon into the ice cube trays. Freeze for at least four hours or until the treats are fully solid. Once frozen, feed to your furry friend!

Pumpkin Apple Doggie Mint Treats

These yummy apple doggie mint treats are not only delicious but give your pup minty fresh breath!

Ingredients and Supplies

For this recipe, you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 3 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 grated apple
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped curly parsley.

You’ll also need a baking sheet, parchment paper, cookie cutters, an electric mixer, and a rolling pin.

Recipe

In the electric mixer, beat pumpkin puree and eggs on medium-high for 1-2 minutes or until ingredients are combined. Then, gradually add 2 1/2 cups flour at a low speed until the flour is fully incorporated. Add additional flour, 1/4 cup at a time, and continue to mix. Keep adding flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Then, add the mint, the apple, and the parsley into the dough, beating until fully incorporated. Knead the dough until ready for baking. Using your rolling pin, flatten the dough until 1/4 inch thick. Bake at 35o degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let it cool, and serve for your furry friend.
