Can my dog be a Therapy dog

Caring Angels Therapy Dogs of South Florida is an affiliate of K-9 Caring Angels Therapy Dogs. There are Caring Angels Therapy dog groups throughout the U.S.. K-9 Caring Angels mission is to provide service, therapy and comfort to the community through our well trained and rigorously tested Service, Therapy and Comfort canines. Our organization includes dedicated Therapy teams, Trainers and Volunteers who are integral in taking in a canine with great potential and molding that potential in to a happy, focused and obedient dog who is ready and eager to serve groups and individuals within the community. Our canines serve in a broad spectrum of roles with children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, first responders, soldiers or anyone with additional needs. Wherever our services are required, K-9 Caring Angels will be there ready to serve.
What you dog needs:
1- Must have CGC (Canine Good Citizen) We are AKC certified as Instructor and Evaluator so we can help you with that.
2. Sit politely when pet
3. Sit by food or pass by food without trying to eat it
4. Give and receive affection freely
5. Sit on both sides of an open door
6. Behave in public (have good manners
7. Walk loose leashed through distractions
8. Be calm around sirens, fire trucks, ambulances
9.Behave in malls, libraries, schools, nursing homes etc.
10. Be able to go on escalators and ride in elevators
