Amazing Dallas Dog Charities

Amazing Dallas Dog Charities

Wherever you adopted your dog from, you love them and are happy to be able to provide them with a comfortable and loving home. And they’re so glad to return that generosity with their unconditional love and protection towards us. Not all pups are so lucky, though, supporting your local pet charities is a fantastic way to give back and help other pooches who need it most. Here are a few of them –

Cane Rosso Rescue

Cane Rosso Rescue was created in March of 2014 to support local dog rescue groups, foster home placement, and ultimately finding four-legged friends their forever homes. It all started when the owner of both Cane Rosso and Zoli’s NY Pizza Tavern, Jay Jerrier, wanted to go beyond the restaurant world and help save canines in need.

During the spring and fall, Cane Russo pizza locations hold “Pups on Patio” events that help raise money for their cause. You’re able to bring adoptable dogs to their pet-friendly porch, and give donations in exchange for yummy pizza discounts.

Since their founding, Cane Rosso Rescue has provided over 300 dogs with loving and lasting homes.

Dallas Companion Animal Project

With the belief that socio-economic differences shouldn’t keep loving owners from adopting a dog, Dallas Companion Animal Project works to give all who are deserving, the irreplaceable experience of owning a pup. They do this through working to provide more resources for pet owners in areas that lack the means.

Dallas Companion Animal Project offers volunteer positions for just about any job – working with or without pets. You can help reach out to the community about their spay/neuter programs, picking up donated pet food, tracking inventory, or playing with furry friends who need the love that has been lacking in their lives.

Dallas Pets Alive

It’s all in the name, Dallas Pets Alive wants to keep canine companions from being killed through providing resources, education, and programs. They run mostly on volunteers helping healthy pups find foster homes to prevent them from being euthinised, as well as resources to owners, so they don’t have to give up their beloved pooch.

Dallas Pets Alive hold weekly adoption events, and every year hosts a “Pup Crawl” to raise money for all they do.

Operation Kindness

Operation Kindness works with homeless furry friends to bring them to a safe non-kill environment that they can be safe in until they find their forever homes. They also vigorously promote the use of humane values and behaviors towards our canine companions and other furry creatures.

Every April they host a Hope Gala, that helps Operation Kindness continue their mission.

Whether it’s through donations, attending fundraisers, volunteering, fostering, or even adopting a dog in need – you’ll be making a lasting impact on furry friends in your area and the continued promotion of their health and safety.
