Licensing your dog is essential because it confirms your pup is up-to-date on their shots and rabies vaccinations. If your dog goes missing, animal control and other dog services will be more willing to help find Fido if you have proof that he/she is registered and safe. Here’s how to properly register your pooch in Dallas!
Registering Online
Getting your pup registered is so much easier than it seems, you don’t even have to leave your house to do so! Online pet registration for Dallas animals is available here! You can register multiple pups at one time and easily upload all of your documentation on their site. Dallas City Code requires all animals to registered annually so don’t forget!
Registration Fees
Annual fees vary:
- $7 for sterilized dogs
- $30 for unsterilized dogs
- There are discount rates for senior dogs and pet owners over 65
You’ll also need a rabies vaccination certificate with all vaccinations and dates listed
