Are you looking for a fun event to attend in the Dallas area for a great cause? Look no further! Read below to learn more about the Tall Tails reading event. 

What Is Tall Tails?

Tall Tails is a free event hosted by Canine Companion. This is an opportunity for children to spend one-on-one time with one of Canine Companion’s furry friends!  The event encourages children of all reading levels to get to know these future service dogs. So, each child will get 15 minutes to practice their literacy skills with a canine pal! Plus, your attendance will help train these future service dogs through socialization and practice! So spend an hour with these hard-working pups!

What Is Canine Companions?

Canine Companions is a national organization established in 1975. Its goal is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities by providing them with highly trained service dogs. These service dogs are well-trained to help increase the independence of those they serve. Plus, the recipient can get the service dog at no charge to them! The organization is the largest provider of service dogs globally, with six training centers and 55 chapters across the United States.

When And Where Is The Event?

Join Canine Companions at the Highland Park Harvey R.”Bum” Bright Library located at 4700 Drexel Drive! The event is hosted on the last Wednesday of each month for an hour from 4:30 to 5:30 pm! So, mark your calendars for November 29th, December 27th, January 24th, February 28th, and March 27th! Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to attend the Tall Tails event. So, you can pick a day that works best for you and your little readers. You will want to experience the fun and helping a good cause!
