DIY Christmas Cookies for Dogs

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to start planning our dessert spreads; pet parents, make sure to include a festive treat or two for Fido too! We found some of the best and easiest DIY cookie recipes for this holiday season! Our pets also get overwhelmed by the holiday festivities, so they deserve special treats and extra attention.

Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup white flour
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix all the wet and dry ingredients in a large bowl. Grab a baking sheet and start forming fun shapes out of the dough. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes and allow them to cool before feeding them to Fido!

Apple-Cheddar Biscuits/Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp water

Directions:

Prep your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients to form a dough ball. Roll the dough flat to about 1/4 inch thick, then start cutting out your shapes. Place onto a baking sheet and cook for about 30 minutes. Allow cooling for about an hour before feeding your doggo.

Blackberry Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup flax meal
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit before mixing all the ingredients to form a dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then roll your dough to about 1/4 inch thick to start cutting out shapes. Place cut-outs about an inch apart on the tray and cook for 30 minutes. Allow optimal cooling before giving it to your pet.
