Free Dog Food for Pet Ownership Series Attendees

Come down to the Detriot Public Library for the Pet Ownership Series! This event is great for all pet parents, from those looking to adopt a pet to seasoned dog owners!

What is the Pet Ownership Series?

Hosted by the Detriot Public Library, Pet Ownership 101 teaches prospective pet owners how to care for their new furry friends. But you don’t have to be a new pet owner to enjoy this class. All pet owners are welcome! Detriot Area Animal Control launched this fantastic class, which teaches new pet owners how to take care of their furry friends.

Class Offerings

This class also offers a Q&A with shelter owners, veterinarians, and animal experts. This class teaches Detroit residents the basics of pet care, such as getting a dog license and a rabies shot. They also offer low-cost solutions for pet healthcare, grooming, and insurance. But that’s not all! All sessions are free and come with some fun extras. Every attendee will receive a free large bag of dog food and treats.  This food is provided by the Detroit Area Animal Control, as well as donations and volunteers.

When is the Pet Ownership Series?

This class is on the last Wednesday of each month and is hosted at the Detriot Public Library. This class is free for all Detriot residents. All pet owners will love this class! If you are interested in this class, please call the Edison Public Library at 313-481-1720.
