The fact that these dog training “exercises” are exactly those included in the requirements for the Companion Dog degree awarded in dog obedience competition by the AKC (American Kennel Club) is by no means a coincidence. We feel that they are the minimum requirements of a well trained dog sufficient to make him easy to live and a pleasure to own, a good behavior dog and a true dog companion.
