When looking for the very finest training for your new best friend, check out some of our dog boarding options. We provide you with a certified professional dog trainer to take care of basic obedience, provide private lessons, and help you learn daily tips to train your dog at home.
We offer a variety of different options for each dog owner, whether you would like private training sessions or group dog training classes that put your furry friend around other dogs. Our board and train facility is the perfect one for you to choose!
What is Board and Train?
Our board and train facility is like a boot camp for dogs. Dog owners place their dogs under the care of our board and train staff for two or more weeks. At the end of that time, we return a well-behaved dog that will be a great addition to their family.Â
While your dog is at our dog boarding, they will work with at least one professional dog trainer to tackle anything from basic obedience, crate training, house training, getting along with other dogs, and more. We work with puppies and adult dogs, providing the dog training that you desire.Â
Some of the things we can focus on during dog training include:
-
On-Leash
Our on-leash program works to train your dog while they are wearing either a leash or a harness. This is beneficial for dogs who struggle with aggression.Â
-
Off-Leash
Next, our training facility can work with off-leash programs. These work with any dog off-leash and are best for dogs that need some basic obedience but that are not considered aggressive.
-
On-and-Off-Leash
Many of our dogs will use a combination of both these programs. This is the most comprehensive form of training that our board and train program offers.
Why Board and Train Programs Aren’t a Quick Fix
While we are proud of the hard work that our trainers can do with your dog, these board and train programs are not a quick fix. While it does provide some of the help that you need to work on problem behaviors with your dog, it is not just a place to dump your pet and hope for the best.Â
We welcome you to come talk to a professional dog trainer at our facility to discuss your dog and see whether this is the right program for you.

Are you interested in seeing whether a board and train facility is right for your dog? Here are a few things to do before choosing one facility over another.
- Discuss the equipment and methods the trainers plan to use. Get a good idea of the behaviors that will be worked on with your dog. Get everything in writing.
- Inspect where the dog will stay during the boarding time. Is it a kennel outside, the trainer’s home, or somewhere else?
- Take note of the dogs that are currently under the trainer’s guidance. Do they seem relaxed and happy? Is the atmosphere good as you walk around?
- Insist on visitation privileges and use them. You don’t need to be there daily, but check in on the progress.
- Ask for references and give them a call to get some opinions.
- Always be wary if someone guarantees results. Each dog is unique, and there is not always a guarantee that things will work out.
Often, we will steer you towards either our Board and Train or towards our day training, based on what your dog needs.

Learn Why Dog owners choose Sit Means Sit Dog Training
I love how friendly and knowledge everyone is. I haven't seen my dog with other dogs in such a long time. He's come along way. Thank you so much Sit Means Sit and all the employees there. I couldn't have asked for more. Extremely happy dog mom!!
Absolutely love Sit Means Sit! My pup came in with low confidence and very timid and she has come leaps and bounds. I love the day training option, I didn’t like the idea of sending my girl off for weeks at a time, here I am filled in as her training progresses. Now she sprints up to the door, ready for school!
Clean place, reasonably priced services. My dog received play time throughout the day and I received an updated report card each day with a photo. They do have cameras that are monitored during the night so that there's always someone keeping an eye out.
The team at Sit Means Sit is amazing. They quickly identified the challenges my rescue pup was having and began addressing them immediately. I saw positive improvement within days. Everyone is so helpful and very responsive.
My dog Enzo learned so much from his stay at Sit Means Sit and he fell in love with all the wonderful people that work there. He was subsequently adopted by another couple, bc he was my foster dog, and they claim, they have never had such a well behaved dog! Thanks Sit Means Sit! 10 / 10
We had a great experience training our puppy through Sit Means Sit all of the trainers were really caring and knowledgeable. This is our 3rd lab and the others were never trained, I already see a difference in just 7 months. I would recommend!
Can not say enough great things about SMS. Trainers were all awesome gave me the confidence to handle my Tyson. They were patient and you can tell they love what they do. If you are struggling with a reactive dog give them a call it will be life changing for both you and your fur baby.
When I got my dog George i immediately enrolled him in puppy training day classes - once those were completed - he now goes to daycare at Sit Means Sit Dallas and absolutely LOVES IT! Great place and great people who give 100% to the dogs!!
